There is no winning 'answer' - people call it different things; nobody is right.

Depends where you are, there is no set answer.

For me in the south East it's lunch, or on weekends brunch.

Breakfast, lunch and supper. If you go out in the evening it is dinner.

I tell the kids their lunch is ready, they tell me it's their dinner.

I'm the evenings I tell them their dinner is ready and they tell me it's their tea.

It's like a long running bad dad joke.

Lunch. But 12 noon is very early. Lunch is usually around 1pm. Dinner is in the evening.

If it's a hot meal it's dinner.

Sandwich and fruit and stuff is lunch :)

Until I was 18, dinner. Then moved southwards and it slowly turned into lunch so as not to confuse folk.

It depends on whether we are having something light like soup or a sandwich or if it's the main meal of the day.

I would say lunch but if it's a big meal like a roast then it'd be dinner. Then the evening meal that night would be tea. Otherwise (after a lunch) it'd be dinner. Phew.
