Both names are great for a boy, friend of a friend recently had a baby boy and he is Reginald known as Reggie. Frank is a good boys name too.

But lots of people didn't like the name I wanted for my son and I always feel annoyed that I entertained other people's opinions.

I like it. I had a friend called Arnold at university and always thought it was quite a cool name. Not deliberately quirky or 'unique' but uncommon nonetheless. I'd consider it for a future DS!

It would have been my dd's name had she been a boy. Statistically it's very rare these days.

However, having a dd with an uncommon name (Xanthe) and having to repeat her name three times, correct mispronounciations and spell it almost EVERYTIME I introduce her to someone I don't think I can also face having a son where I have to say 'arnie, yes like schwarzenegger'.
