To be pissed of off, even tho I am being UR

Supposed to visit family in Scotland this weekend, had to cancel as the league decided we needed to play out catch up game (cancelled due to bad weather) dh is coach and ds1 player.

So because we had to cancel weekend arranged to have friend over/sleep over for ds1, ds1 went to a friends house with his friends mum and dad who were rigging him over so we could all have a catch up a drink or two... with a few other friends etc...

Just had a call from friend... ds1 is poorly... not sure what, 6 missed calls... his head is down the toilet... last time ds was like this he ended up in hospital on a drip!!! Sad


So now I can't even have a drink in my huff! Angry

I have no idea who is where from that OP.

arranged to have friend over/sleep over for ds1 ("friend over" means a friend at your house), ds1 went to a friends house (with the friend you were having over? Are there 2 friends?) with his friends mum and dad who were rigging him over (so he's back at yours?) so we could all have a catch up a drink or two

Give the OP a break, she obviously means it in a lighthearted way but, understandably, she is a bit fed up that after a cancelled break, she had planned for friends to come over and DS to stay out at a friends house and then that too was cancelled/postponed due to poorly DS.

I have assumed in my reply that OP has collected DS now. If, as previous poster suggested, it turns out she ignored phone rather than accidentally missing a call, my opinion may change

This was meant in a light hearted post, by no means was this serious, I forgot I had to put lighthearted in the OP.

We are clearing our loft, so it can be made into a games room for our ds's and it has to be ready for MindY for when the builders arrive.

My phone was on the ground floor, so I did not hear it initially.

DS, was having a sleep over, however as we where going shopping to get some party food/drinks etc... ds went to his friends house after the game, and was returning when his parents came to ours for the evening, ds was having 4 friends sleeping over.

I'm not pissed off that I cannot have a drink, I'm just pissed of full stop, I haven't been home since before Xmas, the last time I was supposed to go home I couldn't go as ds was selected to represent his county at athletics, and this time we couldn't go as he had to play in a league cup game, then events cancelled due to my little beautiful child having the shits!

I'd never ever drink when either of my ds's are poorly, not even for a sniffle, nor would dh.

But by word would a large glass of red tonight have eased my huff, instead temperatures are being took, sugar levels are are just in the normal range, and are making sure he is rehydrated and giving him salts, all the while Ds has sausage rolled between us!

Currently I'm in bed,! Wide awake as cannot sleep, as I'm making sure my little turd doesn't shit or spew himself in his sleep!

So yeah... meh!!!. it's been a shitty weekend!

Dh collected ds within 5 minutes of the phone call. He spewed shit himself in the car... he had a sick bowl... but apparently he didn't like playing fluid in a bucket... Grin

You have my sympathies my ds came down with tonsallitis today I managed to get him an appointment at the doctors then I get a phone call saying my dad is in hospital no idea why I called they told me he was waiting for a medical team etc etc I dash up there to find him in bed like a happy pixie just a chest infection not a heart attack no medical team just more bloods then home

I'm sodding exhausted
