Mail redirection form

Hello, am filling out the above form on aunt's behalf as she has now moved to a care home.

On the question 'Who wants their mail redirecting?' I have put aunt's name and will get her to sign it but have just realised she still occasionally gets letters addressed to 'the executor of xxxxx', xxxxx being the name of her daughter, who died last year. Daughter's surname was the same as aunt's surname so can I just add daughter's name on the form as well? The only problem is the form asks for daughter's signature. Is there any way of getting round this?

Thanks.

I think there's a section that asks for other names too; I certainly included the name of my then recently deceased father who had lived with me in my home.

Thanks for your reply. Did you have to provide a signature against his name? Unless I've misunderstood the form it looks like there has to be a signature for each applicant listed, unless the applicant is under 16 years of age.

I did a redirection for myself and my husband online recently and neither of us had to sign anything. The charge is per surname so you can add the daughter's name at no charge.

Caspar is right, you need the special circumstances form not the normal one. You can't do the special one online, you need to go into post office.

Be careful about putting an extra name on. They will charge double.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Think I'll just leave aunt's name on the form and leave her daughter's name off.

I would leave some stickers with your address on and ask the new occupants to pop them on anything that looks official that has slipped through the net.
