Depends...

I'd say no snacks or breakfast tbh.

I have a shake for lunch and then just clean food for dinner.

Brew placemarking

I'm not great at losing weight but a big effort at losing weight would be like

Eggs wholemeal toast

Salad with protein or soup or wholemeal pasta homemade tomato sauce veggies

Meat or fish with veggies new potatoes
Omelette
Pearl barley risotto
Wholemeal or spelt pasta dish

Tea or water to drink
Humous veggies fruit nuts snack

In reality I eat a lot more carbs and sugar than this!

Very little bread, small portions of pasta/rice/potatoes bulked out with loads of veg. More protein, fewer carbs. Plenty of fruit and water. But no need to deprive yourself of puddings etc. Just have them less often, and in smaller portions.

I'm doing calorie controlled just now and this is what I have:
Breakfast: cereal bar (67 cals)
Break: 2 satsumas and a biscuit(99 cals)
Lunch: cup a soup (under 100 cals) a packet of crisps (140 cals) and a yogurt (50 cals).
Tea: curry/fajitas/chilli etc

Drink plenty of water as well. I eat less calories during the bulk of the day so I have a good tea and less likely to snack in the evening

When I'm at work breakfast is generally a banana or oats/porridge. When I have more time at weekends, eggs and bacon.

Lunch is salad with chicken or salmon etc. Or homemade soup. With fruit.

Dinner could be anything from spag bol, roast, fish, stir frys etc. Dessert of Greek yoghurt and honey.

At weekends I usually have some treats! My fitness pal is a great app and for it to work you really need to weigh things such as pasta, cereal etc.

Less of the first 3, none of the last.

Tomorrow is - overight oats: salad and crabsticks: some meat and veg.

I switch between slimming world and slim fast. Tomorrow is the last of a week of slimming world and I'll be glad to get back to slim fast on Wednesday, I get on much better with it and will probably stick with it for a few weeks.

I would eat proper normal 3 meals a day but avoid high fat and high sugar foods. Plenty of lean meat and fish, lots of veg, some fruit, wholegrain carbs, pulses, regular but small amounts of good fats like olive oil and oily fish.

And indeed that's what I should be doing, as I want to lose a bit of weight. Lacking willpower though!

Fairly 'normal' stuff, but in small portions and then shedloads of salad. And if I want a snack, I eat another bowl of salad. Or beansprouts. They're yummy, and they take forever to eat because they're small and a bit slippery.

Anything, but in smaller amounts. Cut out most of the crap.
I've lost about 2 stones since September without even trying, due to being skint. I eat bread (ordinary wholemeal), pasta, rice, potatoes, cheese, eggs, baked beans, lentils, and things like carrots and broccoli for vegetables.Just ordinary boring things really. Not many snacks, because I can't afford them.
Lets see - today I had
Breakfast - 2 small slices of toast and marmalade
Lunch - half a tin of tomato soup with a bit of grated cheese and a little bit of bread
Dinner - baked bean curry and rice.
A finger of fudge (the one in the orange wrapper)

I am - I eat only real, non-processed food. Nothing low-fat or reduced sugar. 2/3 meals (when hungry). Protein and veg. I have less than 20g of carbs a day (which I aim to get from veggies, not crisps 😄) and drink around 2ltr of water.

Breakfast is usually some form of eggs w smoked salmon.

Lunch or dinner is veggie based with fish/chicken/beef or lamb.

I'll snack on a full-fat yoghurt (but not the ones with jam in), an apple, or a bit of cheese usually. If I get a rare, real sugar craving I'll have a little bit of dark chocolate or literally 1 Haribo.

This diet varies but I always stick to the no carbs and drinking water daily. I've lost around 10lbs in 3 weeks. I also exercise and have cut down on the wine which helps. I have around 3 stone to lose to get me slap bang in the middle for my bmi, so a long way to go!

Higher protein, lower carbs (or time your carbs for after exercise) and low to medium good fats (nuts, advocados, fish etc).

If you exercise and eat a higher protein diet (lean meats, pulses, dairy, eggs etc) you will build more muscle and raise your metabolic rate leading to further weight loss. Don't calorie restrict too much as it is counter productive.

I generally eat: eggs for breakfast (omlette or scrambled eggs/ ham) with a piece of fruit for breakfast, nuts and seeds for snack, turkey rice and spinach for lunch and then meat and veg, or fish veg and potatoes etc. I don't restrict myself, still have some chocolate if I fancy it etc. I eat pasta, bread etc but its balanced. Fresh greek yoghurt, cottage cheese- all sources of protein.

Have you heard of Joe Wicks aka Body Coach, its a great plan for people wanting to lose weight and get fitter. There are loads of example plans out there though. Once it becomes a routine its easy (and my kids eat like me, but do have cereals etc sometimes in stead. They love eggs for breakfast and scrambled are so quick.

And if you can, prep in bulk so its easier.

Typical day:

Breakfast: porridge
Lunch; salad. Mostly veg, some feta.
Dinner: low on carbs, higher on protein. One portion only

If I snack during the afternoon it'll be an apple, or similar.
My 'treat' every night is an orange. I love citrus!

Porridge for breakfast
Banana for snack
Soup/salad/eggs/baked potato/beans/leftovers for lunch
Apple for snack
Curry/spaghetti Bol/loads of fish/chicken stir fry/omelette for dinner
Biscuit after tea to satisfy sweet tooth

Honestly smaller portions, no crap snacks. Mad dieting isn't sustainable, you should never feel hungry and always eat (fruit, oatcakes, nuts) if you are hungry and isn't a meal time.
Exercise as much as poss - min three times, ideally 4/5 per week.
If I could kick the white wine I would be a size 6........

I'd try to eat less of everything but no foods are forbidden. I'd try to keep myself really busy so I'm not thinking about food all the time.

Keto. It saved my life, sanity and fertility.

And you're never hungry and just view food as fuel so make healthier decisions. Bonus.
