To share an extract of your personalised plan? Thinking of signing up but dont want to spend £150 unless its quite detailed and easy to understand. I have two small children therefore no brain power to try and decipher complex eating/ exercise plans. Im definitely ready to chnage my life...feel so down.

Havnt done that but interested in replies , I have however done Jason vale 7 lbs in 7 days which was very effective and insanity which was looking awesome until it killed my ankle. Have a look at th 7lbs 7 days book can b picked up cheaply and read in a day. If I fancy it u then need to shell out for a juicer but still cheaper than )150!

Yes I've done it and very highly recommended. It's not easy but it works and is only thing that has ever worked for me. Currently pregnant and have already signed up to do again post baby. You get loads of support, the HIIT is manageable and the food is really nice, loads of choices.

I did it. I had exactly the same food as my DH just different quantities. Eg i had 150g chicken, him 200. But the recipies are quite complex meaning 2 pans for us. Went through part 1 okay, but had 4 deaths in our families during month 2 & took time out. Explained to joe, but we didnt even get part 3 to attempt, even though we'd paid. It's simple carb control basically.

What would the benefit be over buying the books and just picking the recipes you like?

I have done it, it wasn't for me. Far too much faffing around weighing and measuring every single ingredient (including sauces and spices). I don't have kids and I am amazed by and have genuine respect for the parents that manage to do this! Mind you if you aren't fussy like me I think it would be slightly easier as you could just eat anything on the lists whereas I disliked half of it.

There is lots of choice and the meal sizes are big so you don't starve. The exercise is good too - 30mins for HIIT and the weights are good in cycles 2 and 3. The key is to prep your meals; once that is done it is fine.

However cycle 2 is 'pick and mix' i.e. you get your ingredients and put together your own meals. A lot of people struggle here as you know you have to choose a meat, a carb, 2 veg portions, a side, a sauce etc. but if you don't have the imagination it can be tedious. Having said that, the website mydietburble is brilliant for recipe ideas and you just tailor them to your own measurements.

There are pros and cons to the plan so it really depends on what you're after. I personally have no problem doing lots of exercise so I'd rather just eat healthily to lose weight whereas for some people, a structured 3 month plan works really well for them as the workouts are quick. If you stick to it 100% you will get results (I gave up during cycle 3 as it was just before christmas and I just couldn't be arsed anymore).

The benefit of the plan over the books is that you submit a lot of details about yourself and your eating habits and goals beforehand then the plan you get is tailored to you by giving you specific measurements of each ingredient to lose weight. Cycle 1 gives you specific meals to choose, you can't use his book recipes or instagram meals during this cycle.

Good luck with whatever you choose x

It's not at all personalised and is exceptionally generic. Despite stating they cater (to an extent) for allergies etc, they don't. I had the same recipes as my friend who did it with me. We both struggled (150g bags of spinach 3 times a day is ridiculous and gave me nausea by day 2!).

There are better and more sustainable options.

I did it, but this was 18 months ago and I think it's improved since then. For example on cycle 2, most of the options for breakfast were chicken curry or some such and it was just stupid, but apparently they've changed that now.

I think it's a con personally. Not that macros and HIIT can work, but I don't accept that asking your bowel movements etc means they can adjust your protein intake by 2g per meal and that there's any science to that. So I don't think it's very personalised. However, you only need to go onto the FB group to see lots of people find success with it so I think I'm in the minority.

I had minimal results from it personally.
