Crisp sandwich - normal, right?

I LOVE a crisp sandwich. Especially with salt n vinegar crisps. Was thinking I'd love one earlier (but no crisps in the house) and then remembered a friend thinking I was totally bonkers for having crisps in a sandwich.

Anyone else? Or is my friend right and I'm totally bonkers...?!

On that note, any other 'out of the norm' sandwich fillings you all in enjoy?

Love a crisp sandwich - with cheese is even better!

MrsHathaway · 23/02/2017 14:28

Sliced white bread, buttered; strong cheddar; salt & vinegar crisps. FOOD OF THE GODS.

SanitysSake · 23/02/2017 14:28

Every sandwich, irrespective of filling, is improved with the addition of Crisps.

The end Grin

Ham or cheese with ready salted crisps sandwich is totally yum. Mind you I also love cheese and marmalade or jam in a sandwich.

I like a soft white bread roll with lots of margerine and prawn cocktail crisps! Mouth watering at the thought. Smile

crazyspaniellady · 23/02/2017 14:29

Not bonkers at all! Definitely better with cheese & onion, so YABU to put something as gross as salt n vinegar in something as loooovely as a crisp sandwich Grin

I love a crisp sandwich. Cheese and onion crisps with ham is my favourite.

KoalaDownUnder · 23/02/2017 14:30

No. Not normal. Have never eaten one in my life.

DontWannaBeObamasElf · 23/02/2017 14:30

My dad and I love a cheese and onion golden wonder sandwich!

Imissmyboy · 23/02/2017 14:30

Love a crisp butty with cheese spread.
Also been known to have cornflake and beet root butty.

Bobowhite · 23/02/2017 14:30

Completely normal and IMO they should be encouraged! Got to be ready salted on cheap white bread for me Grin

Pineappletastic · 23/02/2017 14:30

Love a crisp sandwich.

A friend used to eat mashed potato sandwiches, I found that odd.

Apfelbunny · 23/02/2017 14:31

Wot sits in a soft bun are also good.

NO need for butter though, just squish it. But then again I don't use butter on anything except toast and Marmite

KoalaDownUnder · 23/02/2017 14:31

Oh. ImNotFat's sounds quite nice though.

Rosieposy4 · 23/02/2017 14:31

Not normal here, have never eaten one

Owlish · 23/02/2017 14:31

Yum! You are totally NBU.

AyeAmarok · 23/02/2017 14:32

The sandwich of the gods.

You need the crisps to get a good amount of crunch in the sandwich.

winniewigs · 23/02/2017 14:32

Crisp sandwich yes! Skips, squares, cheesy wotsits...anything can go!

I also like pickled beetroot sandwiches. You have to eat them before the bread dissolves.

wishparry · 23/02/2017 14:32

White bread sandwich, plenty of real butter and cheese and onion crisps inside.delicious.
I'm quite strange as when I have a packet of crisps it's got to be salt and vinegar, but to put in a sandwich only cheese and onion will do.

CreepyPasta · 23/02/2017 14:33

White buttered bread, crunched up crisps with salad cream. Extra bag of crisps on the side.

Can see why I'm 3 stone overweight Blush

acornsandnuts · 23/02/2017 14:33

I carefully make hole and eat the lovely soft middle of a scotch morning roll leaving a perfect pocket and if I stuff then crunch, stuff then crunch I can sometimes fit a whole packet of cheese and onion in there.

It's my death row meal.

Mmm Dairylea and beef monster munch in a soft white roll Smile

bloody lovely

AYankinSpanx · 23/02/2017 14:33

Never had one, really don't fancy it. Lovely soft bread and horrible shards of greasy crisp sounds nasty to me.

Not sure I have anything too weird on a sandwich really. Gruyere and honey with black pepper is probably as mad as I get.

Bloopbleep · 23/02/2017 14:33

Cheap white bread, thick proper butter and cheese and onion walkers is lovely. Salt and vinegar is for the korningnafter the night before
