AIBU?

To think some people just come on here to argue?

I swear some people just come on here to argue and make other parents feel like utter shit! Almost every post on here someone comes onto and finds a way of giving the OP some abuse.

I thought this site was to help each other and give advice. You know a support network.

I could literally write something like 'saw a cute kitty today' or 'had a banging cuppa' I bet someone would cause an argument! I wish some people would just get a grip! Bet it makes them feel really big hiding behind a keyboard!

No, that isn't true.

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 20:19

What's not true grumpy? That mumsnet is a support network? Yeh I know!

No they don't.

AnyFucker · 20/02/2017 20:19

Your username is ironic, right ? Hmm

WaitrosePigeon · 20/02/2017 20:19

Some do, yes.

SumThucker · 20/02/2017 20:20

No, I don't agree.

tabithakitty · 20/02/2017 20:20

Seems that way to me

Gowgirl · 20/02/2017 20:20

Support is here, but AIBU has always been good for a fight....

Coulibri · 20/02/2017 20:21

Part of 'support network' may involve pointing out someone's deludedness or ill-informedness, when they've come on a public forum to ask advice. It's not some hive mind of unthinking kindness. What Mn has traditionally done best is astringent advice.

NotTheFordType · 20/02/2017 20:22

Oh no they don't!

In all seriousness, there are many threads created here simply through boredom.

WorraLiberty · 20/02/2017 20:22

Some do

Some don't

Some see anyone disagreeing with them as 'arguing'.

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 20:22

Lol she really is though! But that's another story. Besides she isn't on here. Honestly some of the stuff I read is just plain nasty. We should be building each other up and helping each other.

Fair enough a difference of a opinion but we could be nicer to each other about it life would be pretty boring if we were all the same but some of the things people say to each other on here is damn right spiteful.

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 20:24

Disagreeing defiantly shouldn't be perceived as arguing I totally agree with you there but I think there is ways to put the difference of opinions across.

Post in the right topic and you are generally ok. Don't use AIBU for absolutely everything.

reup · 20/02/2017 20:24

Yes I think some people love to be contrary. I wonder if in real life if their friends moan about something they just constantly find the other point of view - must be bloody annoying for their friends. Also posters are always picking holes in others stories which gets so tedious. I once asked for help with stain removal tips for whiteboard pens and some awful person asked what my child was doing with one and he must have been being naughty! That was a) rude and b) showed a complete ignorance of how much whiteboards are used in primary school - especially on the carpet. What would make someone so rude and unpleasant to charge into a thread like that with no knowledge!

But really I should argue with your thread and say - no no one argues or is cross everywhere it's so super supportive. That would make my point better!

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 20:26

Problem there seems to be there isn't much traffic trough the other topics it does make it hard sometime esp if you're desperate to talk to someone about it on here. I know what you mean though.

Your use of the word 'literally' is annoying. 'Actually' would have been better.

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 20:27

Reup GrinConfused LOL! I hope you kept your cool? X
