To ask you to find me some bridesmaid shoes that don't cost the earth?!

I'm having a sodding nightmare trying to find bridesmaid shoes. I need two pairs of shoes for my fashion conscious teenage nieces. Any ideas? I like these ones

But £80 odd on shoes arghh. We have 3 months to go so funds are tight. Can't be too high of a heel (they like to think they can walk in them but they can't and their mums would bite my head off if I crippled them on the day) pleeeeeeease help me.

Are these too high?

nicetoseeyoutoseeyounice Wed 15-Feb-17 22:07:15

I did see those on my search. They are lovely. A bit too high though, 3.5 inches. The girls are 13 and 15 and not so experienced in heels. I can't walk in heels though mind, and I'm 27!

These ones?

RubertRoo Wed 15-Feb-17 22:08:38 they have these in the teen section of New Look. They only go up to a size 6 though but look like a comfy heel to wear all day?!

You might want to check out eBay too.

Look on the tk maxx website-I got my bridal shoes there and they were "Pink" the bridal brand. Comfy too.

Try marks and Spencer's. My teenage daughter got some lovely sparkly silver sandals for her prom last year. Not too high and they were about £25/£30.

Littlewoods are great and if you search well you you might come across a discount code, I ended up getting a code for 25% off mine which was like a free pair as I'd four to get!

I bought the new look ones Rupert linked to for a 70's party. They were pretty comfortable.

Tigger1986 Wed 15-Feb-17 23:14:52

New look shoes I've found are always a lot comfier and easier to walk in than other shops (even with a bit of a heel) could you try tk maxx??

Emboo19 Wed 15-Feb-17 23:17:34

Have a look at asos
Both styles are available in a few colours, the chunky heel might be better if they struggle in heels.

How about some pretty embellished flats? Can still be lovely and sparkly but no crippling required.¤cyid=1&ppcadref=236391861|14762090661|aud-234508750992:pla-77263194741&gclid=CJLd6pqfk9ICFYeVGwod2RwEBQ

Or chunky heels are around a lot at the moment, which give a bit more stability for the high heel novice....

God I love shoes!

bloodyteenagers Wed 15-Feb-17 23:32:22

These ones. £15 a pair &£3.50 pp. Not a lot of sizes left though.

Maybe a trawl of might come up trumps? A bit hit and maybe but a Friend of mine has had a few hits from the shoe section. I think their returns process has improved some what recently too.

Hit and MISS even... hmm

Lurker who just joined mumsnet to answer this, because I solved this very problem recently by buying ballroom dance shoes. Not only are they a bit cheaper than 'wedding' shoes but they have heels and insoles designed for dancers' comfort and stability so may suit inexperienced feet/ankles. Have a look at:
or these:

One word of warning, they are designed for dancefloors and don't last an awfully long time outdoors.

Do they have to have any heel at all?
I (proudly) got married wearing a pair of white lace ballet pumps from primark for a fiver.
1 - I hate heels anyway, 2 - I was pregnant, 3 - I wanted to be comfortable all day, and 4 - under my big ballgown dress, no one saw my shoes anyway, so could have worn my slippers.
Even when I was bridesmaid at my mums wedding, I wore flat shoes so o was comfortable.
Just an idea

Thank you for all your suggestions ladies. Is it bad that I want all those shoes for myself? grinI've gone with the teen shoes from new look. They look the easiest to walk in. Thanks again!!!

QueenMortificado Thu 16-Feb-17 08:01:01

I was also going to suggest ballroom shoes

I have bought several pairs from China and they are actually very comfortable and easy to walk / dance in

If you search eBay there are lots of very pretty options for about £10
