My eyes!!!!

I genuinely had no idea you could still buy a property for this price...
Maybe theres hope for me yet!

Justmuddlingalong Thu 09-Feb-17 00:20:48

Oh that'll be the good old fish eye setting. Also known as the 'attempt to make tiny rooms look bigger than they are' setting. All it achieves is drawing your attention to how small the rooms are. confused

Ohdearducks Thu 09-Feb-17 00:22:21

I felt rather pissed, going back for another go.grin

SquidgeyMidgey Thu 09-Feb-17 00:31:23

It's all gone a bit Mr Soft grin

WannabeGilmoreGirl Thu 09-Feb-17 00:34:16

How odd. Pretty sure the garden is bigger than the house.

Makes my brain mushy. How weird would I be if the walls really were that shape!

Message to the sellers

If you want it to sell take some proper fucking pictures!

nocoolnamesleft Thu 09-Feb-17 00:52:14

Yep, definitely overuse of a fisheye lens.

steff13 Thu 09-Feb-17 00:55:17

Fish eye lens? It looks crazy.

NarkyMcDinkyChops Thu 09-Feb-17 00:59:27

You can get a whole house for less in other places.

UghUgh Thu 09-Feb-17 01:01:13

This is how I imagine the photographer. confused

justilou Thu 09-Feb-17 01:03:43

Go home Photographer - you're drunk!

MintChocAddict Thu 09-Feb-17 01:03:47

What???? shock

LilacSpatula Thu 09-Feb-17 01:05:10

Wtf! Where is Springwell? I'm moving!

AlmostAJillSandwich Thu 09-Feb-17 01:05:55

So, a tiny living room, a tinier than tiny kitchen, one tiny bedroom not much bigger than a double bed, and a bathroom so small you have to shimmy round the toilet to get to the shower/bath. Way too white too, whoever told them light colours make spaces look bigger, i don't think this is what they meant. I like to picture the photographer as an actual goldfish being carried room to room in a little bowl to take the pictures. -no i haven't been drinking-

TheEdgeofSeventeen Thu 09-Feb-17 01:09:28

Its just a fisheye lens ? It captures more in a shot so ....

Seeingadistance Thu 09-Feb-17 01:10:04

Someone's going to have to go and view it and report back. Maybe there was no lens trickery at all, and it is actually like that!!!

SingingInTheRainstorm Thu 09-Feb-17 02:31:57

I think it's either a fish eye lens on a DSLR, or it's a new feature of the new iPhones.

I'm guessing they're trying to promote the idea of space. In a way it's good as you can see 3 walls and what the area looks like size wise, which you can't with traditional photos.

steff13 Thu 09-Feb-17 02:39:16

The coffee table looks like it's an inch from the sofa. The whole thing looks small, even the "large yard to the rear." Why did they call it a yard, anyway? Don't you all call it a garden?

SingingInTheRainstorm Thu 09-Feb-17 02:42:56

I didn't look through all the pictures, I was expecting some groovy art lol. I think if you're calling it a yard, then by no means is it big.

TheMysteriousJackelope Thu 09-Feb-17 02:56:12

They've made their flat look like an albino hobbit hole. I'm curious who their target demographic is.

TwoTicketsToTeesside Thu 09-Feb-17 03:05:45

I'm loving the garden. A wooden table at an angle - but no chairs. A barbecue adrift on the lawn, and two statues of dogs holding ... lamps? It's as intriguingly good as some modern art I've seen lately.

lol I live in an okay part of of a large town on the edge of the Lake District and my 2 bed mid-terrace cost £75k ... which is an average price for the area, though if you go into the rougher part of town you can get houses from as little as £18k
