Has something happened to Mini Eggs?

Bought a pack of Mini Eggs from the supermarket yesterday, I know about the changes to Cadburys chocolate in general, but these didn't taste anything like Cadburys chocolate whatsoever. They tasted like something you'd get from an out of date cheap advent calendar.

Has anyone else tried them recently? Really bad, tasted more like Nestle chocolate than cadburys, I wouldn't have known what it was if it was a blind taste test.

I'm off to stock up on some Dairy Milk Snow Bites in the sales, as these do actually taste like Mini Eggs should!

Had some today and thought exactly the same. No longer taste of lovely Cadburys chocolate. Really disappointed!!

Cadbury's changed their chocolate in easter eggs last year didn't they (or the year before)? Probably part of that, rolling out across the seasonal ranges. Nowhere near as yummy these days. I'll stick to Ferrero Rocher, dreaming of the day they make one the size of my head.

I really don't like any of Cadbury's chocolate any more.

This is a good thing, won't be tempted to buy them or eat a bag in one sitting!

Kraft/Mondelez.

Kraft/Mondelez happened to Mini Eggs :(

Colleague at work today brought in a load of Whittakers chocolate, from New Zealand apparently. The difference was sooooo noticeable - it's what Cadbury's used to taste like when I was a kid!

Not surprising now that Kraft own it, American chocolate is absolute dog shit and Kraft are keeping that tradition alive.

They taste sweeter now.

You're probably right there Jo, I ate a few and left the rest in the work's kitchen- which as good as throwing them in the bin! Good for the diet, but was planning on using them for an egg hunt around the house this Easter, not anymore!

Get some of the Mini Chocolate Eggs from poundland, I was very pleased to see they don't contain palm oil, even if they are Mini Eggs knock offs. They are pretty pastel colours and taste nice enough.

I always loved cadburys. Nothing else would do. It's shit now.

However I have discovered Aldi fruit and nut and all is right with the world again 😊

Just polished off a packet and they taste exactly the same as they always have to me.

I was like CalmItKermitt, only Cadbury's would do.

I think I got some from either lidl or aldi last year (can't recall which, but they were the 'pretend mini eggs' style) MUCH nicer, good as mini eggs of yesteryear.

I had some and didn't notice any difference.

I also don't notice the difference in creme eggs which had everyone so outraged a few years ago.

I have been thinking exactly this. Bought my first of the year yesterday and was utterly disappointed, they taste completely different Angry

I like the M&S ones. Haven't dared buy a bag as that first bag leads to several...

Also fruit and nut you say CalmIt. Does it taste like the old Cadburys? OP, yes, the whole Cadbury taste is is very upsetting Sad. Tata, what is the creme egg issue? Obviously I am out of the loop on these things.

I thought that too! I've had several packs of Mini Eggs Blush since they reappeared in the shops and most of them tasted normal but one packet tasted exactly like a particular kind of South African Easter chocolate egg (which I quite like, so I didn't mind). Cadburys in general though...I've decamped to Galaxy.

Xpost with AllTheBabies, if the crime egg issue was years ago it has obviously passed me by!

Creme not crime. Crime eggs sound a lot more interesting.

Mini eggs have been violated!

They are disgusting now. I bit into one earlier and it wasn't a pleasant experience!

Aldi not also. Will stop posting now, sorry! Must proof read more.

I've noticed in the adverts that they are saying cadburys dairy milk has milk in it again now so I was wondering if there had been a change to going back to the old recipe.
