AIBU?

To see fifty shades of grey with dd?

ToddBell · 06/02/2017 20:37

DD is now 18 and wants to see fifty shades of grey with me. She has seen the first one but didn't go to the cinema as she wasn't old enough but saw it last year.

Would I be U to go and see it with her? Or will it look odd?

I don't think it matters if it looks odd but will you both be comfortable? I'd turn inside out with embarrassment if I saw it with my mother.

I wouldn't want to see it with my mum but if you and DD are both happy then do it. Who cares what anyone else thinks?

Oh god it would be awful. Don't even. Watching cheesy wank films with your DD? Confused

If you're both comfortable seeing it together, why not? Can't think of anything I'd want to do less with my Mum!

Maybe OK as long as you don't give it a review on the way home! Grin

You are both adults. It will be fine.

I can't imagine that would be ideal for either of you. What would the post-viewing discussion be like?

Can't she go with some friends?

I don't think I'd want to watch it with my mum tbh

Cringe, a thousand times over.

Would you have gone to see a low rent porno with your mum?

Oh god, I remember watching the first trainspotting film at home on video with my mum and I was cringing so much at Ewan McGregors shagging and full frontal nudity scene Blush. I haven't seen the first Shades film, how full on is it. Fairly explicit I'd guess?

I'm all Confused and about emails flying between mums from DD2's class arranging a 'mums' night out' to watch it.

A mums' night out to watch it.

There, I have found the ultimate cringe.

I went with my mum and sis, we laughed how cringe worthy it was but we had a laugh.
I still can't watch anything to do with sex with my dad though. Hated telling him I was pregnant because he would know I had sex Blush lol.
