DD is now 18 and wants to see fifty shades of grey with me. She has seen the first one but didn't go to the cinema as she wasn't old enough but saw it last year.

Would I be U to go and see it with her? Or will it look odd?

SwearyGodmother Mon 06-Feb-17 20:39:09

I don't think it matters if it looks odd but will you both be comfortable? I'd turn inside out with embarrassment if I saw it with my mother.

harderandharder2breathe Mon 06-Feb-17 20:39:11

I wouldn't want to see it with my mum but if you and DD are both happy then do it. Who cares what anyone else thinks?

Trainspotting1984 Mon 06-Feb-17 20:39:23

Oh god it would be awful. Don't even. Watching cheesy wank films with your DD? confused

WanderingNotLost Mon 06-Feb-17 20:40:04

If you're both comfortable seeing it together, why not? Can't think of anything I'd want to do less with my Mum!

Ilovecaindingle Mon 06-Feb-17 20:40:09

Maybe OK as long as you don't give it a review on the way home! grin

Cubtrouble Mon 06-Feb-17 20:40:12

God. No way

Sparklingbrook Mon 06-Feb-17 20:40:16

You are both adults. It will be fine.

ShatnersBassoon Mon 06-Feb-17 20:41:01

I can't imagine that would be ideal for either of you. What would the post-viewing discussion be like?

Can't she go with some friends?

kel1234 Mon 06-Feb-17 20:41:47

I don't think I'd want to watch it with my mum tbh

ArriettyClock1 Mon 06-Feb-17 20:42:02

Cringe, a thousand times over.

Would you have gone to see a low rent porno with your mum?

maras2 Mon 06-Feb-17 20:42:59

NOoooooooooooooooooo!
shock shock shock
FFS NOoooooooooooooo.

likeacrow Mon 06-Feb-17 20:43:12

Trainspotting1984 grin ha ha!

DrWhooves Mon 06-Feb-17 20:44:01

Oh god, I remember watching the first trainspotting film at home on video with my mum and I was cringing so much at Ewan McGregors shagging and full frontal nudity scene blush. I haven't seen the first Shades film, how full on is it. Fairly explicit I'd guess?

OnHold Mon 06-Feb-17 20:44:50

Good god, nooooooooooo.

DoloresAbernathy Mon 06-Feb-17 20:45:38

Ah it'll be fine!

Somerville Mon 06-Feb-17 20:46:09

I'm all confused and <cringe> about emails flying between mums from DD2's class arranging a 'mums' night out' to watch it.

ToddBell Mon 06-Feb-17 20:47:44

It's her who wants to go!! I didn't really enjoy the first one tbh I would be going because she asked

ArriettyClock1 Mon 06-Feb-17 20:49:56

A mums' night out to watch it.

There, I have found the ultimate cringe.

pinkiepie1 Mon 06-Feb-17 20:50:14

I went with my mum and sis, we laughed how cringe worthy it was but we had a laugh.
I still can't watch anything to do with sex with my dad though. Hated telling him I was pregnant because he would know I had sex blush lol.

Iggi999 Mon 06-Feb-17 20:51:44

Barf.
Sorry

Somerville Mon 06-Feb-17 20:52:57

Right, Arietty?! Want to know the worst thing of all? They have cc'ed in the class teacher. <double cringe>

ToddBell Mon 06-Feb-17 20:56:11

I guess I'll tell her it's a no then lmao!

Bluebellevergreen Mon 06-Feb-17 20:57:30

Why why why would you do this? I was with my mum in the same room now and she said she was reading it confusedconfusedconfused

Emboo19 Mon 06-Feb-17 20:59:54

Watched the first with my mum, and god mums. I wasn't even quite 18!
