Posting for traffic really.
Could I ask your opinion on these wallpapers please?
For a feature wall in an 30 year old single woman's bedroom. I'm wondering if they look childish.

I'll go for the blue but all over.

Feature walls are dead. Dead.

Awwlookatmybabyspider Sun 05-Feb-17 21:42:44

Both gorgeous. I think I'd go for the pink one if I had to make a choice, as. Its more subtle and sophisticated

DancingPenguin1 Sun 05-Feb-17 21:43:08

Agree with the blue but don't see the problem with a feature wall, we have one and love it!

For me they are rather twee, and I feel like I've seen them a thousand times before. Sorry

If you like feature walls, go for it and ignore the nay sayers.

DontTouchTheMoustache Sun 05-Feb-17 21:44:41

I prefer the gray one but I'm not a fan of pink I'm general. Plus the gray one will go with more furniture/decorations

Tubbyinthehottub Sun 05-Feb-17 21:46:44

I prefer the pink

Bluntness100 Sun 05-Feb-17 21:46:59

They are both very feminine, I wouldn't do the pink, I'd do the blue one, it will look nice and yes just one wall, otherwise I think it would be too much.

There is nothing wrong with a feature wall if done well.

HarryPottersMagicWand Sun 05-Feb-17 21:47:00

The bird one is lovely although both nice but the pink one reminds me a little bit of my DDs room. I don't care if feature walls are 'out of fashion'. I have them and like them. I'll continue to decorate my house how I like it, not how so called fashion dictates.

Doobigetta Sun 05-Feb-17 21:47:33

I like the pink but I LOVE the blue one. So pretty.

EmeraldIsland Sun 05-Feb-17 21:48:14

Must be honest, i'm not keen on either. But the blue I could imagine in an adult's room, if that's your taste...the pink butterfly's seem a bit 'ten year old girl' to me.

DontTouchTheMoustache Sun 05-Feb-17 21:48:17

I think the intricate design would make it too busy to have on all of the walls so I would stick with the feature wall.

Oldraver Sun 05-Feb-17 21:50:06

I very nearly had something similar to the blue one. If you want just one wall then go for it. You are the one that has to live with it.

Where is the blue one from ?

Doobigetta Sun 05-Feb-17 21:50:28

I don't think they're twee, but I think you'd need to stick with quite a clean, simple look for the rest of the room.

GoodGirlGoneWrong Sun 05-Feb-17 21:56:13

Most of my rooms have a feature wall.

I'm not that bothered what other's my sodding house.

Op I prefer the blue one as I'm not really into pink. And the design is slightly bolder but not overpowering, the pink one is a bit less bold.

seekerseeker Sun 05-Feb-17 21:56:57

Thanks for the replies.
The pink one I like but was worried it's like a ten year olds roomconfused
I have a large bedroom and am about to get 2 triple wardrobes put in once I have decorated. I'm not very girly either just fancy something different and grown up as I've shared a room with my DC for 7 years.

seekerseeker Sun 05-Feb-17 22:00:09

Sorry can't tag but for the person that asked the blue/grey one is from Wilko

Having viewed so many houses with feature walls, i'd avoid like the plague.

There seems to be very few wallpaper manufacturers too, as i've seen the same paper again and again.

Think carefully, especially if you have nice walls (paper stripping can ruin the plaster)- if it comes to redecorating it could be a pita. Or if you're thinking of selling.

Badgoushk Sun 05-Feb-17 22:02:50

I would get this instead.

Bluntness100 Sun 05-Feb-17 22:04:54

The pink one is a bit little girls room. Sorry. The blue one would with either a very pale grey on the other walls or a pale duck egg blue.

PurpleDaisies Sun 05-Feb-17 22:17:26

badgoushk that's beautiful but I think it's about five times the price per roll.

mygorgeousmilo Sun 05-Feb-17 22:19:14

I've seen similar paper on feature walls for a good few years now. I'd go for something more simple and striking/modern and sophisticated

Suzytwoshoes Sun 05-Feb-17 22:21:51

Grey! I love it!
