Fucking 80 degrees and the Sky planner.

Our new kettle has options. From 70 to 100 degrees.

Dh LOVES it. He is obsessed with the energy saving awesomeness if only heating the water to 80 degrees.

I like to drink hot coffee. If he makes me an 80 degree coffee it's too cool by the time I drink it. It's doing my head in.

He's also started deleting all my box sets off the sky thing. It's a 2 terabyte box. It's never been more than 20% full in its life. He says if I don't keep on top of it it will soon get clogged up. It won't.

These are today's minor irritations. Tell me yours so I can feel better about being a narky old grouch today.

I'm a right pest for deleting stuff off TiVo. I get twitchy if it gets above 20% and dh annoyingly records every bit of old shite in hd which takes up more space. A lukewarm coffee on the other hand is a hanging offence. That kettle would be having an urgent appointment with a hammer 😎

I would be infuriated by the deleting sky+ thing, it's up to you when you delete your stuff off it, not him. That's bloody rude.

I'm old school so make coffee with boiled not boiling water. NOne of this 80 degree nonsense. Also I only drink tea. I've taken a bit of a dislike to your DH tbh. Grin

My DP has got an irritating habit of buying throws and covering perfectly nice chairs and sofas with them so the perfectly nice sofas and chairs look like they belong in a care home.Confused

He couldn't understand why I wanted to keep 36 episodes of Blacklist. I might want to watch them again!

He said he wanted to make space for the Super Bowl as it takes up about 30%. It really really doesn't.

Let the superbowl build up then delete it. Show him how rude it is.

I'm with you on the Sky thing. If anyone deletes anyone elses stuff on ours its all out war. And we have the old one with much less storage.

The coffee though, why don't you just drink it quicker, before it gets cold?

I know what you mean. I've got the whole of the last series is Red Dwarf on my TiVo box. Yes, I know I have seen them all but I might want to watch them again and again and again so don't you bloody dare delete them!

Oh I get this too, crazes the hell out of me. You can go into deleted stuff and restore it tho if it's quite recent.

Ooh what kettle is it? I had one that did this and it died recently. I loved it but couldn't find a similar one.

He is completely unreasonable about the sky box though!

YANBU - both those things would drive me potty. Deleting anyone's programmes off the planner is rude & out of order. I'd serve him cold tea / coffee from now on - think of the energy you're saving then Grin

Does he know about the deleted items part of the planner? Anything you delete stays there for a period of time (can't remember how long, sorry). You can go into it, find your programmes and move them back to your planner.

That's what I did. He knew they weren't permanently deleted. He wasn't trying to upset me, he was just being 'organised'.
