AIBU?

the fucking dog....

Has snuck downstairs in the dead of night, somehow managed to eat some food that we left on the worktops (food for a party we are supposed to have today), peed on the floor, and completely trashed the rubbish bins. We usually close the door, and I'm absolutely certain I did. Maybe DD went downstairs in the night or something. Or maybe the dog has figured out how to open doors.
AIBU to be a little bit mad at the dog?

Hmm I would be really mad. Not a dog lover though. How did the dog eat the food?

This is my life almost daily, minus the party food. But any food on the side/table even just for a short time gets attacked by the cat who will drop some on he floor for the dog aswell!

My dog once somehow got into a dozen box of Krispy Kreme donuts & nibbled at least half. That's a ridiculous amount of money on dog donuts I was horrified Grin

Hats off to the Dog, I kind of admire him. It sounds like he had a hell of a party. You ANBU to be pissed off though, I would be too!

I would be so pissed off but I bet he enjoyed himself Grin

Wow sounds like some kind of PaRtY! Not the dogs fault, either the door wasn't shut or someone opened it.

It's probably low on your list but you might want to make sure he gets a good walk today - he'll probably have a runny tummy

I'm with Woody...Dog probably knew the consequences, knew he shouldn't be doing it buy instinct/hunger kicked in and he though, fuck it, imma enjoy tonight and have myself a party ;)

I used to be fuming with my lab when he did this but realistically, a dog is a dog and I learnt to always take the bins out before bed and never leave food out

Dogs have no concept of consequences don't be ridiculous. Someone left the door open, that person should understand consequences.

My springer spaniel learnt how to open our doors, we had to change the handles in the end to round ones.

Of course they do neon, my dog does things every day that she knows she shouldn't, & I know she knows she shouldn't because I can see her waiting for me to leave/look away before she does them lol

One Boxing Day I heard noises in the kitchen and went in to see my cat helping himself to the turkey. He wasn't the least bit repentant and just looked at me then carried on eating.

He's a golden lab.

I just wish he'd chosen something other than the party food. Dog is now following after me and looking all innoccent and cute.... I'm not being fooled

My cat once brought home some elses beef joint, no idea where it came from. I'm sad to say but most animals see any food as fair game.

Report
Tomorrowillbeachicken · 29/01/2017 09:10

Joint was bigger than he was too...

My dad's old lab ate four landing windowsills. Then he fitted a stairgate.

Would of been more sensible to fit one after the first one got destroyed...

Labs are pretty notorious for eating things.

Grin Tomorrow

One of my cats came through the flap with a bacon sandwich once, but a beef joint is impressive!

Dogs don't guard food

I think labs might be the greediest fuckers out there

He looked so proud to be sitting there waiting for us with it too. A real wtf moment for us though.
