Posting here for traffic, as I've freaked myself out and would like responses!

Is it possible to have two types of CM in one day?

When I woke up this morn CM was stretchy and white. This evening (when it comes to dtd) it's cloudy and stretchy but very sticky. What is going on?! HmmConfused

Did you mean to post this here, and seriously, does it matter?!

Why would you be freaked out?

Is this meant to be in etc? I thought you meant Childminder's 😂

What is cm? Not childminder I'm guessing?

Why are you examining it so closely Confused

Cervical mucus, cake.

Yum!

Erm. Why are you freaked out? Why is it even an issue? And why are you keeping such careful observations that you noticed?

You need to post in Conception.

A) Yes, this needs to go in conception

B) I, and every other woman on this board who's taking a while to conceive, is now flooded with envy at all these 'why would anyone care about cervical mucus?' posts! Grin

To be fair, she doesn't mention that she is TTC, she just mentions that they had sex.

I would bet my last pound that someone who is tracking their cervical mucus and calls it 'DTD' is TTC!

Maybe so but I still stand by my point that AIBU isn't the best place for it, posting for traffic or not

I knew I would get flamed for that but in the conception boards calling it CM is pretty normal, so you just think it will be across mumsnet. Sorry! Mumsnet can move this thread if better.

I don't think you've been flamed. :) Anyway, hope you get the answers you need. At least you didn't call it "baby dancing". Grin

Did you think it transitions between types at exactly the stroke of midnight or something? Confused

You haven't been flamed. Maybe gently mocked Wink

CM is used frequently on the conception boards so some of us will know what you mean, but you'll get better answers over on conception as people will only be there if they're TTC.

I get it though. The obsessing. Looking for ever tiny opportunity or clue Grin I hope it works soon.

Wow, I never knew CM was a thing. I've never heard of it, never noticed it, and have certainly not examined it Confused
Not sure why it's freaking you out that it's changed, but I'm fairly puzzled out at the thought of noticing it's stretchy and then changing to sticky. How do you test this out? Why are you touching it?
Actually, i don't really want or need the answers to this. As you were.

No flaming from me. Just confusion!

I am in the shocked you've never had to know anything about your CM side of this. I think CM changes through the day as the hormones affect change (big hormone release after sleep cycle or something).
I also snigger or just get confused when i see CM used for childminder. But then I was clued up on CM pre TTC.
Did noone ever get curious about what the hell their body was doing every month? I used to read articles and such, even as a can't be told teen.
Good luck and if it's any use (but you probably have tried it all) I found tracking could throw up conflicting messages (I have tracked everything), having 3 children and 3 miscarriages I've personally found the shag every other day from day 9 until day 17 (i have a short cycle though) the most effective/ lowest obsession generating! The bonus is all that time saved not charting. Oh. And the sex of course!
