AIBU?

To want to bang my head against the stupid shower

Posting for traffic but basically my shower is broken (won't turn off) and I have the part that I need to fix it but the fucking screwdriver that's supposed to fit in the screws doesn't!!! There is no in between size either (torx size 10 - could do with an 11 or 12 but it seems no such thing exists!)

Does anyone know or have any ideas how I can make the screwdriver fit?! Is there a trick? I'd really like to be able to turn my water back on!

Well done! Was about to suggest blu tack in the screw head. Or something.

Grinha sorry I didn't get an email I'd had replies! Basically the torx screwdriver was a write off so I used a tiny flat head screwdriver. It didn't work at first because it came in a set that I got free so the handle is really thin and hard to grip so I Sellotaped a big wad of cardboard around it and hey presto!

Never been so relieved when the screws started to come undone. Unfortunately I hadn't quite fit the part right so I had to undo them all again and by the time I came round to the final screwing back in my tiny cheap screwdriver had worn away on the edges Hmm so the screws are sort of back in properly!

So as well as repressurising my boiler and fixing the heating element in my oven I can also add changing the flow regulator assembly of a shower to my list of skills...who needs a man hey Wink
