Must be an error!

I bet they get a fraction of that if it's let on a nightly basis. Still seems very over priced. It's not particularly special

That is exactly what I thought til I saw the weekly cost!

I always think of a cottage being small and cosy.....that is fucking huge and an awful mix of tacky and original!

Good grief!

I think they're renting them out as holiday cottages / very short term corporate lets for stupid amounts per night - there seem to be a few priced at significantly more than you'd expect.

(I know Bray is an expensive area, but still...)

Anniegetyourgun · 21/01/2017 13:17

It's not the only one on the list with a massive price, so either there are some VERY expensive short-term holiday lets in the area or one of the local estate agents has a member of staff with dodgy typing and/or numeracy.

Wait!

The property was added to Rightmove about 20 minutes ago and almost instantly there is a thread about it?

Have you read the description? It's a holiday let. I'm sure the neighbours will be delighted it's being advertised as a party place. Wonder if the mortgage company know? And money certainly doesn't buy good taste, does it?

The OP probably has an alert set up.

Reckon it's serviced so it's like staying in a hotel but in a cottage

I used to live on that road! And got married in Bray church. Tis an expensive area.

Disclaimer: I can assure you I am not an estate agent, and if I was I would not describe anywhere as a 'gourmet destination'!

Grin I wonder how much Heston paid for that piece of 'art'?

Report
WyfOfBathe · 21/01/2017 13:26

I thought it was a reasonable price for a cottage... until I realised that was per month and not to buy!!

I've no idea where Bray is though Blush and I'm not sure it's really a "cottage" if it's that size.

'gourmet destination' Grin

Our local estate agent uses the words 'boasting' a lot.... 'boasting three bedrooms'. I think it may be general estate agent lingo but it sounds twatty...

Available for a daily rate of £1250 per night?! For a 3 bed cottage which looks like it was decorated by a 70s porn star?! You can take 3 rooms at the Ritz for less than that a night....

ImperialBlether · 21/01/2017 13:31

It's obviously a mistake!

But that includes a full range of bathing products and concierge service. Bargain therefore Hmm

Probably aimed at corporate events involving dinners at the Fat Duck etc. Certainly not a family looking at a home. So if it's let for a couple of nights per week that's still a tasty income.

The interior design is grim in places"

Bray is full of Michelin starred restaurants. Quite a gourmet location.
