I am 40 at the end of March and have reluctantly agreed to have a party. I say reluctanty because my confidence always came from looking good but my looks have changed over the years but I want to feel fab again and enjoy celebrating my birthday. I am a busty size 16 on top, 14 bottom but fairly tall. my tummy is my difficult area after having kids and legs are probably my best. I love clothes and the theme is fiesta so thinking something bright and fun but a bit classy too...... I was previously a very easy to dress 10/12 and this is why I need your help!
Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated MN!!

A skater style would probably suit you best. I'm the same shape and size and that's what I find.
