Best Blue Peter Presenter of all time... wink

1. Konnie Huq
2. Richard Bacon
3. John Noakes

Now I like Konnie, I do. But Charlie Brooker tweeting to his million twitter followers didn't give Shep a chance dammit!
And whilst Richard Bacon's twitter feed made me laugh. John Noakes folks! Guy was a legend.
On a sadder note he has Alzheimer's so won't give a shit. But BluePetergate #Shepwuzrobbed
Best Blue Blue Peter presenter would be Peter "it wasn't porn it was a psychological thriller you heathens" Duncan surely, I'd give him a Tumble.

I couldn't agree more. I was gutted to see John noakes didn't win. He was always my favourite. I loved him and Shep.

RandomDent Sun 15-Jan-17 09:05:54

I never liked Blue Peter. It always seemed so earnest.

I like peter groom. I wouldnt have voted forjohn noakes as didnt ever see him.

HolisticAssassin Sun 15-Jan-17 09:13:37

Ooh I dunno, you had Lulu the elephant. And Simon Groom asked about a touch up rather than a tuck jump (audition iirc).
They did go a tad overboard when the Blue Peter gardens were damaged.
I intend in 2017 bribing my kids to do one of the tasks to win a Blue Peter Badge mind. living vicariously

Blue Peter was what your parents wanted you to watch. Tedious, tedious, tedious.

HolisticAssassin Sun 15-Jan-17 09:18:14

But there wasn't much else on at the same time? What did I miss?

HolisticAssassin Sun 15-Jan-17 09:19:33

That said, I was always a goody goody: saw Swap Shop over Tiswas. Fuck it, would still watch Swap Shop over Tiswas.

LostSight Sun 15-Jan-17 09:20:27

These votes are always skewed in favour of more recent personalities if they are done on or influenced by the Internet, for obvious reasons. I would have voted John Noakes, but this is the first time I've heard anything about it.

The fact he is on there at all, despite being on so many years ago, means he must have been very popular.

Go With Noakes anyone? One of the best programmes ever.

FagAshMIL Sun 15-Jan-17 09:37:15

Exactly Random FUCK Blue Peter, it's got a lot to answer for grin

liz70 Sun 15-Jan-17 09:41:01

"I like peter groom."

Don't you mean Simon? Or was there another Mr. Groom? confused

kaitlinktm Sun 15-Jan-17 09:42:05

It certainly HAS got a lot to answer for - remember Tracy Island!

MargotLovedTom Sun 15-Jan-17 09:45:21

Peter Groom - could be Peter Purves, could be Simon Groom!

I loved John Noakes and Shep, but also really loved Simon Groom and Goldie.

Hoppinggreen Sun 15-Jan-17 10:01:51

I met John Noakes once - he was vile

BestIsWest Sun 15-Jan-17 10:06:31

Noakes should have won. Richard Bacon was sacked fgs.

Big fan.

AprilShowers16 Sun 15-Jan-17 10:13:58

Richard Bacon? He was sacked wasn't he?

specialsubject Sun 15-Jan-17 10:16:54

Never heard of this poll, as I and all my generation would have gone with Noakes.☺

John and Shep all the way!

I remember crying buckets when Peter's dog Petra died. I sent away and got a photo of her for my wall. grin

AlistairSim Sun 15-Jan-17 11:23:37

Hopping !
I'm shocked to my core!

I met John Noakes on the Isle of Skye when I was about 7 and he was absolutely lovely! Spent ages talking to me about dogs and stuff.
