I wear a lot of navy dresses to work and, unfortunately, only fit properly into one after Christmas weight gain! I wore the same dress a lot this week (having washed it!) but am now paranoid people are going to nituce and will talk! What would you think if you noticed? Confused needless to say, I'm going clothes shopping this weekend...

No-one will have noticed, I wear the same dresses regularly.

I agree and think more people should do this!
Although my wardrobe isn't minimalist I have worked hard over the years to have less clothes (good quality) and wear them more.

Even if you paid me £1m I could not tell you with certainty what my colleagues wore to work this week.

I am terrible for getting more than one of the same thing...so I probably look like I'm wearing the same clothes most days. I sometimes wonder if other people think that, but given I can't remember what they were wearing yesterday, I doubt they even notice?! Tough if they do 😬

Like Wilting I have developed a work wardrobe that is quality not quantity. It's designed to be mix and match so is quite limited. So I might wear the same dress or skirt more than once in a week but with a different jacket and accessories.

I love Hobbs washable suits. They look great, wash well and genuinely don't need ironing.

I might have noticed you'd worn the same dress but would assume you either had more than one or had washed it.

My DH wouldn't care. He's quite good at noticing clothes but as he wears repeat suits he wouldn't think anything of it.

I used to work with a very beautiful blonde lady who wore a black suit with a white blouse every single day. She was impeccably dressed but always in the same thing.

She looked fantastic.

I was never quite friendly enough to ask her if she had five identical suits!

No one else ever mentioned it. Plenty of men do the same.

I have a couple of favourite work dresses and I have two of each of them. I don't care if people think I'm wearing the same dress twice, I look reasonable and i know I'm not wearing dirty clothes.

I would've notice, but that's me all over, I've got a very keen interest in clothes, but I wouldn't have cared or thought it was dirty or anything. I don't wash my clothes every time I wear them! Not sure why you would tbh Confused. Too much wear and tear.

If someone who normally wore something different every day wore exactly the same outfit on two consecutive days, I might fleetingly wonder if they went home last night! But otherwise, I wouldn't think anything of it e.g. the same dress on a mon/wed/fri, or the same dress but with a different jacket on consecutive days.

No yanbu, so long as they are clean I see no issue! Who needs a new outfit everyday unless there is a child involved!?

When I start working I will adopt a uniform, like Steve Jobs and Mark Z!

I wouldn't notice. I wear the exact same pair of trousers 5 days a week. I have numerous pairs but each pair is worn twice before washing. I might start uniforming like others have mentioned on here. Bottom half is already sorted so I just need to find my uniform top...

I'm in maternity wear and too tight to buy much, I have worn the same trousers (15 minute quick wash and dried overnight on the heated airer if needed) and 3 tops since early July.

When I'm not in maternity wear I'm in actual uniform so it doesn't feel in the least bit odd, I'm surrounded by people in the exact same.outfit as everyone else every day. Uniform is so handy.

Oh that late pregnancy issue - I wore one dress to work for months. No one mentioned it. I only wore it at work. Had one work dress, one casual dress!
