To think Piers Morgan is a pompous bully?

This is about his shouty, nasty attack (today on Good Morning Britain) on the mother who sent her friend an invoice for her child's scuffed designer shoes.

I might not agree with the lady's actions, but for Morgan to shout at her and call her "the worst kind of mother" and reduce her to tears is reprehensible.

He's poisonous.

I think you're far too polite Mistle, the man's a lying scumbag who even the Americans hated. A total oxygen thief.

Magzmarsh Tue 10-Jan-17 18:43:56

He's good pals with Donald trump which tells me all I need to know. I had to switch over yesterday when he made veiled homophobic remarks about Ryan Reynolds kissing a fellow actor at an awards ceremony, the guy is a complete tool.

MycatsaPirate Tue 10-Jan-17 18:44:16

I didn't see it but apparently as soon as he started questioning why she was sending her child round to play in £300 boots, she started the tears.

I don't like Piers Morgan but in this case I don't think he was being a bully. I think she was trying to make it seem like he was bullying her because she didn't like the criticism.

Flippingecktucker Tue 10-Jan-17 18:45:07

Yup. The guy is and has always been a complete cunt.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta Tue 10-Jan-17 18:45:14

He's an utter cunt but Tbf she wasn't much better

SnatchedPencil Tue 10-Jan-17 18:46:15

He's a bully, most people in his "job" are. But in this instance, I don't consider his behaviour to be bullying. If someone is being a cunt (and that "lady" certainly was being one!) then it is not "bullying" to call them out.

Magzmarsh Tue 10-Jan-17 18:46:21

I didn't see the segment but he's still an arse 😁

ToadsforJustice Tue 10-Jan-17 18:47:29

I agree with him. She is an attention seeking madam and I'm glad he told her she was "the worst kind of mother".

LiviaDrusillaAugusta Tue 10-Jan-17 18:48:04

That woman was another attention seeking 'fashion designer' (dress made of pubes???) so she's not some random member of the public.

Still agree he's a total cunt - him and Jimmy Carr have the type of face I just want to slap (disclaimer I would never do that, they just make me stabby)

fivefoottwowitheyesofblue Tue 10-Jan-17 18:48:20

I am not a fan of his at all, but he didn't do anything wrong in that interview. An interviewer should ask the questions that we are all screaming at the tv - and that's exactly what he did. She cried because the interview wasn't going her way.

Mistletoze Tue 10-Jan-17 18:50:35

Mycats - I think that his loud, shouty, hectoring tone and the fact he said she was a terrible mother marks him out as a bully.

He's a hypocrite who sucks up to rich men (Sugar, Trump) but thinks that he can attack those people who spend money on their pets, children in a way that he smugly defines as damaging or immoral.

Huldra Tue 10-Jan-17 18:51:11

I didn't see that one but I can't stand the way he won't let a guest finish what they're saying.

TheWitTank Tue 10-Jan-17 18:51:23

I DETEST Piers Morgan. I have never agreed with him on anything, think he is the most awful interviewer and presenter (rude, likes the sound of his own voice, uneducated) and think he is a huge hypocrite. However, I didn't think he was a bully today. Hard on her and crap interview as usual, but she is a total dick and seems to give it out easy enough and not be prepared to get it back. I'm sure her "friend" felt pretty bullied with her threatning letter asking for money! Any ounce of sympathy I had ebbed away after seeing her delightful halloween costume mocking a 15 year old rape victim. Nice lady huh.

SquatBetty Tue 10-Jan-17 18:51:59

Always remember that he's the cunt that authorised the hacking of Nigel Haver's mobile phone while Nigel's wife was dying of cancer so a story could be written about it.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta Tue 10-Jan-17 18:53:24

It could be argued that anyone who sends their child on a play date wearing shoes that cost over £300 is a little odd. And if the child isn't allowed to get dirty then perhaps her parenting style isn't as good as it could be.

And the pube dress etc is attention seeking at its worst - she got want she wanted by having her face on TV

lozzylizzy Tue 10-Jan-17 18:53:50

I watched it, she was already just about crying before he even said anything. She is a cunt and deserves to be told so the attention seeking twit.

RumAppleGinger Tue 10-Jan-17 18:55:04

I didn't see the interview but agree he is a despicable fuckwit with the most punchable face I've ever seen.

Mistletoze Tue 10-Jan-17 18:56:44

I think the lady can spend what she likes on her child. She was out of order to send the lady an invoice.

However, Morgan's dismissive comments about her childhood and background were mean.

I don't think it was necessary of him to shout. He could have made his point without branding her a bad mother.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta Tue 10-Jan-17 18:57:05

The only person I feel sorry for is her DD - she's not allowed to be a three year old!

Mistletoze Tue 10-Jan-17 18:57:44

Squat - how awful.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta Tue 10-Jan-17 18:57:52

It wasn't even about the invoice though - she's another fame hungry dickhead who thinks that she has talent

CherryChasingDotMuncher Tue 10-Jan-17 18:59:07

I can't stand Piers Morgan at the best of times but I have no sympathy for the mother in this case.

She went on GMB smug as anything about the despicable thing she did to another parent, all to further her own career and couldn't hack it when rightly pulled on her terrible behaviour. Imagine the AIBU on here after what she did!

He is right about her, her poor 3yo will probably never see her friend again because her mother values a £325 pair of boots over friendship. She also appears to use her as her own personal dress up doll - what does a 3yo need 60 pairs of shoes for? She deserved the grilling she got and I for one didn't buy the crocodile tears.

SnowBodyforrrrm Tue 10-Jan-17 18:59:23

I dispise PM but agree completely with what lozzy said.

She was getting herself all worked up because someone didn't agree with her ridiculous actions and was losing it before he really went for her.

If someone had sent their child to my house with those icky red boots on, I would have thought they were cheapy boots, they certainly looked it!

cx5221 Tue 10-Jan-17 18:59:40

Can't stand Piers but he wasn't actually that bad!

Surely the silly woman has made her £350 or whatever it was back now in interviews and TV appearances!

I can't believe we are in an age where a person discussing a pair of scuffed shoes shoes makes headline news and gets TV air time to discuss scuffed shoes hmm
