I wear short sleev knee length cotton jersey night shirts. I get very hot am in my 50s and don't want to feel fully dressed in bed. I do find I slightly want to air my nethers. Is that wrong?

Yanbu, of course not. I wear nightgowns and sometimes even really short light ones too if I'm hot (most times). The only pajamas I own are worn for hanging out in at night, but I never ever sleep in them. I like to 'air' as well.

I can't even slightly understand why you would think you couldn't wear exactly what you want to in bed.

Me too, I hate pyjamas.

Relax. There are no nightwear police.

I am wearing pyjamas, but strip em off before bed as I have to sleep naked.

I love lounging in pjs though.

BTW, I dont wear PJs in bed, I sleep au natural. I keep pyjamas for post shower lounging only.

I love my PJs for relaxing in but would never wear them in bed, I would roast.

I own lots of pajamas, but never wear them to bed.

Don't own pyjamas. I sleep naked even in winter and wear just a bathrobe when I first get out of bed until I have my wash.

I change into pjs as soon as I know I'm staying in for the rest of the day. I just find them so comfortable.

The bottoms come off before bed though.

Why would it be wrong?! Doesn't everyone just wear what they want to in bed?

I wear pyjamas for lounging in the house in the evenings, but I don't wear them in bed unless it's absolutely freezing, probably no more than about three nights a year! Most of the time I don't wear anything in bed; it makes me feel a bit claustrophobic for some reason.

If I'm in a hotel or someone else's house I wear a t-shirt style nightie, purely because I used to sleepwalk and am convinced I will wander somewhere naked (even though this has actually never happened and I haven't sleepwalked outside my own bedroom in about thirty years).

I never used to wear pjs. I preferred night shirts. Now I love pjs and don't wear night shirts. Each to their own though!

I haven't owned or worn pyjamas since I was a small child. I wear sleep t-shirts or nightgowns, with dressing gown if I go downstairs. I'm almost never cold in bed - I once borrowed my sister's pyjamas when unexpectedly staying over at her house, and felt far too warm and restricted.

I can't sleep in pyjamas but I do sometimes put pj bottoms on if not getting showered and dressed as soon as I get up.
I think I am odd, I wear a Cami vest top to bed and go knickerlessBlush I do keep them in the drawer by my bed in case I have to get up to anyone at night, fortunately rare these days as youngest is 13!

A former boss of mine told me she had a 'fanny fan' at the end of her bed to help with this.

I gave up pjs long ago. I like the idea of them but they give me a giant wedgie whenever I move in bed and I can't be doing with that. I couldn't sleep in the buff though; too vulnerable. I wear a loose jersey nightie usually. Maybe socks if it's cold.

I wear whatever the weather dictates. Mostly it's nothing, sometimes I have a short nightie, sometimes pjs.

If you don't even own pjs then all I can say is you've never been camping Grin.

As long as you wear underwear under them while staying at someone else's, it doesn't matter what you wear to bed. Nobody wants to see other peoples' crotch sweat/bodily secretions on their sheets.

I keep a couple of pairs for emergency hospital purposes because I wouldn't want to wear something someone else bought in a hurry.
