Family member wearing jeans with rip in crotch

Would this bother you? A make family member of mine when at home (his own home) wears what he calls "work jeans". He's a mechanic and these jeans are grotesque. Filthy, ripped. The thing that bothers me is there is such a huge rip in the crotch it's almost as if one leg is hanging off. Today he was sitting in an armchair wearing them with his legs stretched apart, leg and underpants on show for all to see.

I've said to him they're very badly ripped and does he need to get some new ones and he replied that he had new ones and they are his work ones. He doesn't seem to care but I find it disrespectful and quite gross. Is this something that would bother you or would you just think he can do what he wants in his own home?

At least he has pants on.

I'm not sure it's disrespectful as such, some blokes have no bloody clue. Of course he should bin them, and no one wants to see his undercrackers, but it's his home and he can wear what he wants, you of course can decide whether you wish to visit him or not because of it.

Glad he wears underpants! Could you get a cheap pair of tracksuit bottoms and ask him to wear those when you are round?

Yes it would bother me.

They have them in ASDA for £8.

I would not mind the rips but the filth would bother me.

I don't think he would wear them he had a wardrobe full of other clothes so why he chooses to wear these that are beyond indecent is just baffling and quite off putting.

I would tell him I have no interest in next weeks washing and to tuck his tiny out of sight

I have mixed views.

My DP wears 'work clothes' that are scruffy and I wish he wouldn't wear them so often but they do save decent clothes getting ruined.

However, your relative is in his own home and should be comfortable in his home, whatever that may mean for him.

The filth is his business if it's his house and he doesn't mind oil on his furniture - as long as it doesn't transfer to anyone else's clothes.

Legs at quarter to three, possibility of the boys falling out of the barracks ? - No thanks that's vile.
How would he feel if you sat in a thong with your legs wide apart?
It's called underwear for a reason.

Is he very young? Does he go to work in them?

If he is comfortable wearing them then so what. He is in his own home so can do as he pleases. If you don't like it then leave .

I used to be involved in amateur theatre. One woman I knew did a whole play while her fellow actor had a testicle hanging out of through a hole his trousers when he was sitting.

You're right. It's yucky, but at least yours is wearing underwear.

Well, I have seen how this can escalate!
My exH was a long haired, ripped jeans type of man. He didn't wear pants as a rule Sad, but he did for work 'in case he had an accident'. I can only imagine what type of accident would necessitate a robust pair of briefs, but that was his attitude.
One evening we were at my Mum's, and he was conversing with my elderly Grandma. He was opposite her, legs straddled, and out popped a bollock.
I was horrified, and tried to catch his eye to rescue the situation. His response was to say loudly: 'What? What's the problem now?'
I lowered my eyes and then grimaced at him.
Grandma picked up on my facial movements, and rather faster then ExH did.
FFS. It was mortifying. Grandma appeared almost intrigued. BlushBlushBlush
I sewed the fuckers up the following day.

Please either sew them up, or show him this post! Things can pop out of pants!

My dh wears those snicker trousers for work and one pair was like that. My god I love it when he is in his work clothes... so sexy!
Ahem.. yes I think it's time for your relative to get new gear, unless his wife likes them.

Its his house and his clothes and if no-one else is there then what the bloody hell is the problem? If you dont like it, dont go?

It's fine to say "don't look" but if you're sat opposite a man (in his 30s not a child) and he's reclining back with his legs stretched apart wearing the equivalent of chaps- it's not something your eye can avoid.

I don't think I'd even like to sit on his furniture if he also sits there with a/extremely filthy and b/ extremely hole-y jeans on. Nasty!

Hey, at least he's not going commando. You might thank him for that, in front of everyone.

If someone is good looking it's OK for them to flop their penis out onto the couch?
