From memory fair trade is not all in cracked up to be. Correct me if im wrong. Green and blacks is horrible chocolate anyway. Seriously miss the chocolate from the 1980s. Hotel chocolate is another chocolate that unedible (misses point of post). Bring back old terrys chocolate orqnge made in york and old cadburys!!!

Fair trade is not all it's cracked up to be anyway as the farmers who sign up to fair trade are forced to sign to them exclusively and are prevented from trading with anyone else iirc.

Agree that green and blacks is revolting anyway but the biggest travesty is that chocolate orange is smaller now.

Wannabe..i know..in the olden days a chocolate orange would last a month...now i struggle to make it last a couple of hours. Alot smaller and not as tasty. Im willing to do more market research on this!

I hate mondelez. closing factories and not paying tax and making the chocolate all waxy and not as nice and shrinking bars and not prices, fobbing us off with "improved mouth feel" bollocks... the original Cadbury family must be spinning in their graves.

Yeah, according to independent they are keeping the fair trade logo as they have an agreement with fair trade to give farmers a deal 'at least as good as' the fair trade one and are letting fair trade monitor them to ensure they do.

The OPs idea that they are somehow nefariously tricking customers by keeping a logo they are not entitled to is just not true.

They're not giving it all to them as money, though - some is 'programme investments'. What does that mean? Is this better for the farmers or better for Mondalez? Do we now have to check the small print and news history of every 'fairtrade' manufacturer? I think it's a bloody cheek.
