I never watch TV so I don't know what's good. Feeling sorry for myself. My mum died yesterday and I need something I can really get into to try and take my mind off things. Anyone got any suggestions? Quite like scary or mystery type things. Tia

Sorry for your loss Thanks

My suggestions are

Broadchurch
The Queen (not a scary or mystery show but very new big budget and very very well made)
Black Mirror

So sorry for your loss. To help you get your mind off everything, even for a short while, suggest Prison Break and Gossip Girl as great stuff to watch on Netflix. Hope that helps xxx

American Horror Story is great. So is Man in the High Castle. Season 2 starts very soon!

Sorry for your loss. Life in pieces on Amazon is funny and light- doesn't take much to follow of you don't have the headspace to get into a drama right now.

Basically the same as other suggestions.

Prime; the man in the high castle or walking dead.

Netflix; Black Mirror, The Returned (french version is better), American Horror Story, Glitch.

Thank you everyone. I'm going to try American horror story as that's the first one that came up in my suggestions!

Stranger things, on Netflix

Was just going to say Stranger Things. It's engrossing and a bit scary in parts, many nods to lots of 80s stuff. It's superb.

Amazon - Man in The High Castle definitely.
I think Netflix has Once Upon A Time, worth a look.

The Good Wife is without question the greatest TV show ever made. Legal drama - don't let the name put you off like I did for years before I tried it out and fell in love. I've got great taste - trust me.
House of cards is good too, as is Scandal (both US political dramas, but really really good ones).
Scandal and Revenge are good for a slightly trashier TV fix

Prison Break gets my vote. It's a drama and with a lot of mystery to it and is 4 seasons long. It's about 70, 40 minute episodes (from memory).
