I'm watching A Knight's Tale and I've always thought that he picked the wrong girl and the blacksmith was a much better catch!

I always thought that the Nike symbol on the armour was hilarious, then I found out she was the godess of victory!

But she wasn't interested in him ... wasn't the point was she was good in her field despite her disadvantage (being female) and he was good in his (being of peasant birth). Hmm They both got some recognition for being good at something. make her the love interest and you might lose that.

I love that she's a good smith and doesn't need to decorate some guys arm.

The rich woman had nothing about her other than being pretty and initially not interested in him.

Love that film, I like the naked guy

Rainydayspending I think you're reading too much into it. It's based in the olden days so therefore they were all horny a la GOT so should have got it on immediately. Poor ending.

The rich one is a terrible actress who can't hide her American accent and they put her in ridiculous clothes and hair styles. I love the film but she just jars in every scene she's in.

Geoff Chaucer was a great character.

Rainy the blacksmith was the better love interest because she was his equal. She wasn't there for decorative purposes,.

I always remember thinking how stupid he was not to see what was infront of him. Glad to see I wasn't alone!

The extended edition is worth it!

Paul Bettany! "My lords, my ladies ... and everybody else here not sitting on a cushion!"

I thought the blacksmith got together with the comedy chubby guy?

The Baratheon Wink. Obviously it was all just a romance.

Trills · 10/11/2016 22:43

Yes, everybody else not sitting on a cushion!

I had it in my head that the Black Prince was the same guy who was Lord M in Victoria, but apparently not.
