so I can thank them for giving me cause to chuckle on what could be a long and depressing night? grin

Question: Does this TV have a scary socket?

Answer: Yes, it frightened the life out of me. It was D shaped with big teeth and snarled 'I'm a scary scart socket' before gobbling up the children and subjecting me to an hour of Eastenders.

oh I do love a good DYAC!!

There was one I read yesterday, a DYAC on here, where someone had posted that their DH did a sweaty shouty dance - I KNOW it was meant to be sweary, not sweaty, but it still made me laugh. (little things) grin

I love the reviews for the pink Bic

MingeFog Wed 09-Nov-16 00:40:54

The BEST reviews on Amazon are the Veet For Men ones.

Sample: "Excellent product. Most prisoners confessed within five minutes of the first application. Can recommend."

No, it's got to be A Whole New World album by Peter Andre and Katie Price reviews here

QueenLizIII Wed 09-Nov-16 01:05:26

this is funny too

Mynestisfullofempty Wed 09-Nov-16 01:55:00

I love the funny reviews, but what winds me up is the people who respond to the customer questions on Amazon products with answers such as "I don't know". Well don't sodding reply to the question then! What's the point of that?

goddessofsmallthings Wed 09-Nov-16 16:30:28

Some of those reviews are hilarious and had me spitting coffee over my laptop during the early hours while being less than amused by events on tv.

Apologies for the Fail link but some of these are too good to miss and may bring a smile to otherwise sombre faces: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3919318/Keep-drinking-Web-users-shocked-Trump-s-surprise-victory-react-string-tongue-cheek-memes.html

Long live humour - where would we be without it?

BalloonSlayer Wed 09-Nov-16 16:43:09

Oh God the Veet ones

"my ringpiece flashing like a brake light" hahahahahaaa grin grin grin

Loaferloveforyou Wed 09-Nov-16 17:41:16

QueenLiz - thanks for that! I've started reading it on the train and had to stop as I was laughing too much. Book marked it for later! grin

I give you Lifesize Boris Johnson - "I would highly recommend this product, no matter how bad my day has been I can always come home and look at my cardboard cutout of Boris Johnson and thank heaven and hell that whatever has happened in my day, at least I don't look like half of a Punch and Judy show, and that I dont't have Jeeves & Wooster Tourette's.

It also serves as a useful reminder that I am more in touch with the 10 million residents of London than with the thousand foreign-based owners of zone 1 property, and don't end up looking like an Egyptian mummy every time I try to waive a flag. Think of this item as a less harmful form of anti-depressant."

Scroll down on these reviews....it's worth the effort...

The truly appalling remake of "The Wicker Man" was brightened considerably by a poetic review: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B000J3Q9KI/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1478762585&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX280_SY350_QL65&keywords=wicker+man&dpPl=1&dpID=51ObPuyMY1L&ref=plSrch

I wonder if the Daily Mail will dredge the depths of journalism further by filching a MN thread signposting Amazon reviews? smile

I love the unnecessarily long tinfoil and Pam St Clement clock reviews gringrin

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow Thu 10-Nov-16 07:39:39

Anyone mention the sugar free gummy bear one?

YouOKHun Thu 10-Nov-16 07:40:53

Tanith The DM has already used the Amazon reviews to pad out its site/rag.

The Veet for Men reviews are an all time classic but no one should miss the 620 reviews of the 'Box Print Canvas of Paul Ross' grin

Tanith Thu 10-Nov-16 23:00:14

Good Lord! shock

And there I was, joking and thinking that no self-respecting journalist would ever contemplate...!!
