To hijack
My DC used to learn a 2 line French nursery rhyme with actions. The action was rolling the hands (as in wind the bobbin up) slowly in the first part and then really fast in the second. She thought is was hilarious
Any ideas it sounded like the first line ended with 'tu dors' .Any ideas??

RedStripeLassie Tue 08-Nov-16 16:12:56

Not a clue, sorry!

Yamadori Tue 08-Nov-16 16:13:20

Easy peasy one, that.

When my dd was a toddler, she used to jump up and down squealing "Liggits! Liggits!!! Mummy, play Liggits!!"

Eventually we worked out which song she was on about. You will never guess in a million years... grin

DonkeyOaty Tue 08-Nov-16 16:18:47

Meunier, tu dors (sleeping miller)

Bringmewineandcake Tue 08-Nov-16 16:19:56

RedStripeLassie Tue 08-Nov-16 16:21:48

Liggits?? No I'm clearly crap at this.
I only just worked out what she meant when she said she wanted to watch maggot baby. Bonus points for guessing that one right.

DonkeyOaty Tue 08-Nov-16 16:23:32

My DD frequently requests 'Chukka ooga'

ShowOfHands Tue 08-Nov-16 16:44:43

We had months of frustration when dd was a toddler. She visited a younger cousin and watched a programme we'd never heard of and picked up on a song from it. We found out eventually that the programme was Milly Molly and it was a skipping song involving months of the year. Still don't know wtf she was actually singing 8 years later.

RedStripeLassie Tue 08-Nov-16 16:51:28

liggits
chukka ooga
I need answers!

TheFarceAwakens Tue 08-Nov-16 17:26:18
