To feel like crying this morning

Got to go out in 20 minutes.

Dd has before school activity at 8am Dp normally takes her in car but he's away so I have to use bus which meams leaving home at 7.10am to get there reliably, drop her off hang about with 4 year old ds for 30 minutes before his school a 15 minute walk from hers will take him. It's cold and drizzling.

I've had porridge thrown at me by ds and already had to change. The cat had left a huge mouse with spewing guts in middle of kitchen floor. Dd is sulking in bedroom because of no reason I understand.

AIbU if I find a cafe serving greasy fry ups and make tracks for it as soon as ds is in school

Honestly feel like bursting into tears. Thank God tomorrow is Saturday!

Poor you. Hopefully it goes okay. We all like our routines and an earlier start is always awful. You can get used to them but then it's the norm. I had to get baby twins up and 3 other chidlren and get the twins and 2 of the children down for a school coach for 7.30am in the car. That was difficult but if you do it every day it's fine. I also once had to get out byt 7.15am with a 4 year old to take her by tube to the school coach and then take myself off to work. But again that was regular every day and you get your pattern and it's fine just as my son leaves for work at 5.45am every day.

On bus. It's orchestra. Normally would miss but they've got orchestra from another nearby school in with them this morning practising for Christmas charity concert and Dd desperate not to miss. She plays drums and no set at home yet so she needs all practise she can get

Decided to take ds to cafe and buy him a pastry then deliver him to school at 8.45. I need more coffe

You are being an idiot if you don't!
Get in there - consume heroic quantities of something massively lardy and drink many, many cups of strong tea with as much sugar as you like (Bugger off, saccharine-related products - you have no place here!).

This is one of the days that tempts us to leave our clothes in a neat pile on the shoreline and walk off (presumably starkers) to start a new and simpler life harvesting turnips or mucking out donkeys or something.

If you don't have the fry-up or abandon your life, you will be tempted to go home and open that bottle of Creme de Menthe (shudder) that you keep in for Aunty Dorothy at Christmas, and that has been at the back of the cupboard festering for the last 9 years.

A plate of grease is the least of three evils, and also the one most likely to put a smile back on your face.

Dd at school. I'm sitting in warm cafe a coupke of minuyex from ds's school with ds hot coffee and 2 Danish pastries.

Dd in year 6. Ds got allocated different school. We are busy appealing as we think an error was made but in meantime he's going where he can
