To think my son's chemistry teacher deserves a medal

My son is severely dyspraxic and it affects his organisation. His chemistry teacher has gone beyond the call of duty to help him with disorganisation. She sat down one lunchtime with Ds and made sure he had a copy of every sheet she had given out out and every sheet was stuck in his book. Ds was not appreciative or understands how kind his chemistry teacher was to give up her lunch time help him organise his notes.

I am thinking of posting her a card and box of chocolates, but she really deserves a medal. Unfortunafely I don't have a medal to post to her and I think she would prefer the chocolates. Dd aged seven thinks I should send her the medal she won as a prize at birthday party.

Chocolate Medal ? Grin

I'm sure she'll be glad to know that you appreciate her extra effort.

YANBU but I'd probably send a letter/email to the teacher, copying the headteacher!

Please put it in writing and cc the Head or her line manager. That will mean so much to her. It will also show her bosses that she deserves praise too.

Chocolate is always good as well!
