Was browsing for a kilt for DD and came across this

Do parents still aspire to having a 'little lady' in their midst?

How did you invent a time machine to travel back 60 years?
This is bloody dreadful. So fucking twee. "Sit at a desk like a lady"... what does that even mean?

Ah ha! You might think that ghosty but actually it was a deliberate ploy to deny them the oxygen of publicity!

What's Lansend? Is it Landsend? Where's the website?

Thats a shame, landsend did some rather more practical, robust kids clothing than some other brands when dd was young enough for them.

It is indeed Landsend user, but using the reasoning offered to ghosty I also deliberately avoided a link. They don't deserve the clicks!

Idiot copywriter. I am a copywriter and to be honest, I'm the exact opposite of this sort of thing which is just lazy in the extreme...or male.

I once got asked to write the script for a talking doll (Chinese market) they wanted it to speak English and so had engaged me.

I made it say all kinds of amusing and non stereotypical things.

"Let's play football Daddy!"

"I'm a fast runner! Can you run fast?"

"Do you like climbing trees?"

It was interactive so the child could respond and it would give a reply.

They loved it!

I didn't even know they did kids' clothing. I have only had coats from there.

It's Lands' End.

It's the US site though, not the UK one; there is a difference in tone.

Browsing through a UK LandsEnd kids catalogue a few months back there was a 'let kids be kids' section - the boys had reinforced knees on tough trousers so they could tree climb. The girls were not forgotten as they apparently swing from the branches but they had to do it in skorts. Obviously girls have tougher knees.
