AIBU?

To feel a bit freaked out?

I'm on my own this weekend as DH is away.
Anyway... all evening I've felt 'watched' it's the best way to describe it. I keep hearing banging noises from upstairs (we used to have indoor guinea pigs that made a racket) it sounds like them but they have been rehomed, next door is out as his car isn't there and he lives alone.
Anyway... I just went into my 1 y/o LB room to check on him and a large crochet blanket that I keep on the chair was flat across the floor. He's fast asleep. Can't walk, let alone climb and is in a grow bag in his cot... it's just giving me the creeps.
I'm sure there are perfectly rational explanations for all of this but right now I just want to hide under my duvet! Grin

I'm sorry to have to tell you that your house is haunted.

I'm alone with just a baby tonight too
My heating is being very loud, naturally

Repeat after me -
There's no such thing as ghosts
There's no such thing as ghosts
There's no such thing as ghosts...

I've lived here two years and we've not ever had anything 'woo' happen.

Acasualobserver. That isn't helpful at all really is it.

OP why not camp out with DS in his room if you feel creeped out?.

Mum2twoUnder4 I had considered this Grin but he's such a light sleeper I'd disturb him and that wouldn't be fair. Confused

I'm sure once I go to bed I'll be ok. The noises have eased off now.

Out of interest... how do I tag people in to my posts? I'm a bit of a newbie here...

Ghosts are made up.

Unless you are in Scooby Doo, it's your imagination.

I was being sarcastic. But I think you knew that.

Sing hymns to yourself under your duvet. The more rousing, the better.

When I'm alone in the house sometimes I hear some one in my eldest boys room ( loft hatch is in there too!) walking around, moving things. I creep up to the door and burst in thinking someone is living in my loft. I don't find it creepy really. I just sounds so real. Possibly just normal sounds but in my mind it's not.
But in reality there's no room in my loft - it's full of tat!

That would be enough to scare anyone away! Grin

We kept hearing noises from our loft. Turns out a squirrel was up there!

I think when the house is quiet, you do hear more noises.

Also, have you put the heating on? Could it be the radiators banging?

I have a loft and it creeps me out. I don't know why. I don't hear anything up there. Although the hatch will come off occasionally. First time it happened I freaked. I mean properly freaked. My DP told me because I closed the window (it was very windy) it had blown open. Felt a bit stupid afterwards. Blush

Maybe you guinea pigs are pissed at you and have some supernatural abilities so their trying to freak you out. They are meant to be intelligent animals..

But it's probably the boring pipes and floorboards that are freaking you out.

As for clowns they can fuck right off! Angry

I survived the night and no one came to get me so it must have been heating/over active imagination Smile
