My best friend seems to have an issue with getting me birthday/Christmas presents. Tells me that I'm really difficult to buy for. Last year she gave me some clothes that she had planned to return and then seemed to gloat that she didn't have to put any effort in to thinking of something to buy me.
I am difficult to buy for as I don't have really want anything. But I am always happy with anything I get and don't feel that it has to be something really special and thoughtful. I know that it's the thought that counts but it feels like she doesn't want to have to put any thought/effort in to it at all.
WIBU to just say that we shouldn't bother getting each other gifts now. She buys for my kids so they'll get her something small (she doesn't have children) but I'm just not bothered and can do without her moaning to me about having to buy me a present.
