Oh my friggin god it's cold. Feels like Antarctica in here. Honestly, think Olaf my new tenant!

Kids room monitor says 21 DC? Surely that's incorrect. I mean, I can't be that old that I'm feeling the cold already?

Please tell me others have the heating on in these subzero (OK, slight exaggeration there) temperatures that is the north today? Grin

I'm West of Ireland and I stuck the storage heater on this morning. Now have to wait till tomorrow morning to reap any benefit. Grrr.

Rocking a v fetching pj bottoms tucked into bed socks look for now. Also considering waking hot water bottle DD2 for a feed.

I put the heating on for 10 minutes to warm the house up this morning and the thermostat didn't click, until the dial got to 20.

It's weird because during the Winter, we're perfectly happy with it on 19 Confused

I must be getting old too, or maybe I need to start wearing extra layers Blush

Herts, feeling chilly but resisted putting the heating on and put a cardi on instead. Ran round a bit too but then I'm a northern girl

Omg I wish it was hot. Hot I like (well, not too hot Grin) but can't cope with this cold. Don't want to boil my kids though in their room. Got one DC who always cold and one who's always hot sharing a room too Hmm

I got to NOVEMBER last year before it went on
Then to be honest it was sick a mild winter I literally only had it on for ten minutes a time just to rage the chill out if the air

It was 7 degrees here this morning - heating definitely went on for 20 minutes or so!

It was 2 degrees here this morning, first frost of the autumn. I haven't put the central heating on yet, but we have lit the fire in the evening. The DC have started wearing their winter PJs.

We're near t'Hull and its fine, I'm even juast wearing a T-shirt right now, no heating for us. :)
Mind you, I often insist it doesn't go on until November. We're on Paygo gas and its like burning £10s to keep warm.

Ours went on yesterday. Well, I say went on, I turned the thermostat up from 12 to 20, we never actually turn the heating off IYSWIM.

We 'pressed the magic button' today.

Though actually the bathroom radiators had been on a week as the towels were not drying

I snuck ours on today and when OH questioned it I just said it must have got cold enough for the thermostat to kick in... technically true but only because I changed it to start up the heating if it got below 20 😁. I like to be warm!

Nope not on here, windows open from dawn to dusk.
I finally put on a light jacket last night as I went out after dark and it was raining.
Still in summer nightwear with lightweight duvet.
Hope the cold stays away until November
