My friend has recently been on holiday to Thailand & I asked her to buy me an updated song pack for the Karaoke machine she bought for me in Thailand 18 months ago, aprox £25 for additional song pack. Love karaoke, but only used the machine twice as the song choices were a little obscure! She has phoned me tonight to say she couldn't get an updated pack but its ok as she has bought me a new karaoke instead, at the staggering cost of £200, yes £200!!!!! What's a girl to do??

So your friend tried to help you, couldn't find exactly what you was looking for and went one better

She could have rung first true but least she tried.

Very ungrateful

What's the point of a machine without song packs though

Now you have 2 song packless machines

DesolateWaist Sun 02-Oct-16 21:50:37

rollonthesummer Sun 02-Oct-16 21:50:38

Does she want you to pay her for it?

Zame Sun 02-Oct-16 21:50:53

Does she want £200 to pay for it or is it a gift?

YappyYapster Sun 02-Oct-16 21:51:11

Do you mean she's expecting the money for it?

clumsyduck Sun 02-Oct-16 21:51:51

I don't get how op is ungrateful ? don't understand the karaoke pack thing but surely that's like a friend asking me to pick a loaf of bread up and me saying sorry there wasn't any but very done you a weekly shop instead u owe me 200 quid confused

PaulAnkaTheDog Sun 02-Oct-16 21:52:20

I lost track of everything at the first #.

LordBuckley Sun 02-Oct-16 21:52:28

Is she expecting you to pay for it?

TwentyCups Sun 02-Oct-16 21:53:03

Ok, I'm assuming you were intending to pay her the £25 and are now worried you will have to stump up £200.
I would text right now and ask her to please try to return it, as unfortunately you can't afford 200, but thank her for the gesture.
If she intends it to be a gift, that's her chance to say. If she expects payment then she will know she isn't getting it!

123beanie Sun 02-Oct-16 21:59:34

Pay for it and then sell it online?

DustyOfSkye Sun 02-Oct-16 22:02:25

What everyone else has said OP. Is it a gift or are you expected to pay for it? Makes all the difference...

SpongeBobJudgeyPants Sun 02-Oct-16 22:04:40

Is she asking a girl to do something, or a woman?

NantucketNightbird Sun 02-Oct-16 22:07:14

confused eh?

FucksSakeSusan Sun 02-Oct-16 22:07:33

Couldn't she get the cd packs when she was on her honeymoon to Maui?

Wellbrooke Sun 02-Oct-16 22:09:29

Yes, she is bloody expecting me to pay for it!!!!

JellyBelli Sun 02-Oct-16 22:12:03

Not a chance in hell I'd pay for it, tell her to return it!

Arfarfanarf Sun 02-Oct-16 22:12:38

Is she expecting you to pay?
If so you say no. You didnt ask for that and she cant choose to buy it and expect 200 quid when you asked for something you expected to pay 25 pounds for.

I mean come on. Who actually does that?

Queenbean Sun 02-Oct-16 22:12:51

Wasn't it really really heavy?!

ParForTheCourses Sun 02-Oct-16 22:13:38

You are to tell her to return it. She should have contacted you before buying it and saved you both hassle.
