To ask you to pick my takeaway for me?

I've had a shitty day. My little DD (18mo) has entered into the 'I hate my mum, I hate sleep, I hate food, I hate the park, I hate getting dressed, i hate the bath, I hate clean nappies, I hate the world' phase of life. She's been whinging and whining and refusing to nap all day. I'm losing the will to live. I'm a single parent, so there's no respite coming any time soon. Love her to death all and all that jazz

I'm on a strict diet. My BMIs healthy just, but I'm flabby as fuck. But tonight, I'm saying fuck it. When this little devil is asleep, I'm treating myself.

But it's been so long, I'm torn. What in the world do I order?! The world is my oyster-- I definitely don't want oysters.

This is what I'd order, from the three main options:

Chinese
Salt and pepper chips
Egg fried rice
Duck & pancakes
Something with sauce??

Indian
Pilau rice
Butter chicken
Saag paneer
Onion bhajis
Onion salad

Pizza Hut
Meat feast pizza
Hawaiian pizza
Potato wedges
Brownies
(This is the £20 deal. But min orders £25 so I would probably make it up with chicken Grin)

Don't fancy a burger or kebab. So these are my options. Which would you choose? I have prosecco to crack open when bedtime blesses itself upon me. Most votes wins. Off the menu items considered.

Please help me kill the time until then. This single mum shit really sucks sometimes..

Single mum, on my own as dc away on contact, stinking cold, nobody to cuddle and I want a takeaway also. But not much point as not hungry and can't smell or taste a thing :(

So living vicariously through you, please order a chinese takeaway, pancake rolls (big ones not mini), spicy noodles and chicken satay, no prawn crackers!

I haven't had a curry in about 6mo so it is winning at the moment I think.

But I fucking love salt and pepper chips so much.

Confused

Although the pizza you could freeze for another day so would be more cost effective.. and means takeaway x2 nights.....

Pizza is usually my favourite... But the Indian is winning here.

Are salt and pepper chips potato chips with salt and pepper? (Sorry for the stupid question, our Chinese takeaway doesn't have them!)

Aw Foof, it's shit isn't it. I cried the other day while she was at her dads because I missed her so much. Now I'm counting down the seconds till she goes to sleep so I can sneak in and stare at her while she's sleeping and think about how lucky I am to have her Blush

And yeah, pizza huts pretty shit value. But takeaways are aren't they? For one night, I'm not worrying about the financial, or nutritional value. Fuck it all, as they say Wink

I would go Chinese. I'm having a Chinese tonight. I can't wait. I've only had a bowl of soup today so can't wait. I'm pretty skint but thought fuck it too. Enjoy. And good for you. I was a single mum for 5 years and know how hard it is Flowers

Salt and pepper chips are the best. Chinese would win every time for me.

Are salt and pepper chips potato chips with salt and pepper? (Sorry for the stupid question, our Chinese takeaway doesn't have them!)

They or my one anyway, has little bits of spring onion and chilli in them. But there must be something else that differentiates them, because the chips themselves taste so unbelievably unreal. I have no idea what this is though Sad all I can say is I'm sorry for your loss. They're honestly unbelievable. Grin

I'd go Chinese. Never had s+p chips, they sound lush. I'd add sweet & sour prawns or chicken (Hong Kong style, not the balls) to your list, and get well stuck in!!

chickenowner salt and pepper chips are chips which are fried up with a spicy seasoning a sort of salt/chilli/five spice taste and also have slivers of green pepper and onion in with them. They are gorgeous, as is salt and pepper chicken. I really want Chinese now!

^^ a much better explanation than mine. Leaning towards Chinese now.

But there's another dilemma, that comes with that.

There's another Chinese in my area, the best of the best. The food is to die for. Their crispy roast pork belly is the stuff that dreams are made of.

But they don't do salt and pepper chips.

So dilemma number 2:

If I choose Chinese, do I choose perfectly satisfactory Chinese, with unbelievably yummy salt and pepper chips - or delicious, fine dining Chinese with no salt and pepper chips?
