Just noticed a thread has gone over the 1000 post threshold, its one I have posted on previously so I keep being notified by email everytime someone posts a new message on this is confusing as it clearly states "no more messages on this thread" yet its now at 1015 messages and continuing to grow...are a few long standing privileged posters allowed to post past 1000?

BlytheOfWindyWillows Thu 29-Sep-16 15:04:14

Is it Pink's thread? Think the mobile app is still allowing people to post

TheMaddHugger Thu 29-Sep-16 15:08:01

ummm Hugs

TheMaddHugger Thu 29-Sep-16 15:08:40

Link ? please

ClopySow Thu 29-Sep-16 15:09:22

Yeah, i got the same message posting from my mobile.

hellsbellsmelons Thu 29-Sep-16 15:10:30

Yes, if I got onto my phone I could add a comments.
But can't from my laptop.

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

OhFuds Thu 29-Sep-16 15:11:24

I'm on my mobile and I can post on it. The last I saw it had 1017 comments, I deleted the thread off my watch list at 1000 as I thought nothing else would be posted on it.

pregnantat50 Thu 29-Sep-16 15:24:51

yes, weird isnt it, especially as most people use their mobiles to post smile

pregnantat50 Thu 29-Sep-16 15:25:08

thanks for the hug Tigger xx

Tis strange, pregnant but the last of the thread I saw seemed to indicate the OP wasn't being terribly honest. Not to mention the gunfight!

Dammit. Now you've made me look for it...

witchywoohoo Thu 29-Sep-16 15:29:29

What makes you say that Usual - genuinely interested? I had a look at previous posting history and Pink seems genuine enough!

ItShouldHaveBeenJess Thu 29-Sep-16 15:30:55

Bunfight, not gunfight! Though it almost came to that!

ReginaBlitz Thu 29-Sep-16 15:32:04

Yeah most of the threads that get past 1000 turn out to be bollocks. People that post after 1000 are just nosey bastards anyway as are the place markers with all the patronising flowers

KoalaDownUnder Thu 29-Sep-16 15:32:38

Which post? Where?? Quick, I miss everything (due to sodding time differences usually)

e1y1 Thu 29-Sep-16 15:36:49

Is it still going on? I followed that thread all day yesterday.

Did have a very slight feeling it may not be 100% genuine, but you never know.

It's called to cut my husbands ***edited by mnhq***

KoalaDownUnder Thu 29-Sep-16 15:38:02

Oh thank you. That sounds...dramatic. grin

ItShouldHaveBeenJess Thu 29-Sep-16 15:41:05

It's a bit strange that the word 'penis' was deemed unacceptable! By the end of it, there were just too many flowers popping up - gave me hay fever.

Odd that people can still post, though.

wasonthelist Thu 29-Sep-16 16:00:59

especially as most people use their mobiles to post

How do you know?

witchywoohoo Thu 29-Sep-16 16:12:45

Yeah Jess..if anything the "cutting" and "rusty knife" bits were the scary bits not the word penis smile ! I can understand Pink's rage though - but will say if a guy posted "AIBU to mutilate my wife's clitoris with a rusty knife" it would (quite rightly) have been jumped on. That thread was just weird in many different ways. I suppose this'll be zapped soon though.

HardcoreLadyType Thu 29-Sep-16 16:15:43

Thanks Jess. I'm having a shitty day, and your gunfight comment has cheered me up, no end!

ItShouldHaveBeenJess Thu 29-Sep-16 16:17:13

witchy. I've only been on here about three months, but have never seen a thread reach the 1000 posts mark so quickly! It was chaos! and I was glued to it

ItShouldHaveBeenJess Thu 29-Sep-16 16:19:08

hardcore. I defend my gunfight typo - there were a lot of cheap shots being fired! Sorry you're having a crappy day. Go on, then, have some flowers

loopylou6 Thu 29-Sep-16 16:56:38

What are your reasons for not believing it, if you don't mind me asking? Mnhq don't appear concerned.

KatherineMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 29-Sep-16 16:59:45
