AIBU to book tickets to a show on a school night

So...there is a screening of a ballet at the local cinemas, it's a live film of an Australian Ballet company doing sleeping Beauty...that looks awesome, it says it will be loved by children, my dd is 5 and loves watching ballet films etc, she could easily sit through it and enjoy, but it starts at 6pm and lasts 2hrs 20... Plus interval. She is usually asleep by 730. Would I be a neglectful mum to take her to it?

It's not something you'll be doing everything week. For a one-off I'd say why not.

She's pretty great when she is tired, she gets cuddly and a bit giddy, but I guess for one day it will be ok! X

One of my favourite memories as a little gurl was going to see the ballet, I was transfixed. It's a one off, go and enjoy.

I took my DD (then nearly 10) to the theatre on a weeknight last year to see the touring production of Annie, we didn't get back till nearly 11.30 but it was so worth it. One late night really won't hurt.
