It's our sons birthday tomorrow. We have family coming round for birthday tea and cake after school.

I've got a list the length of my arm of stuff to do. The usual - buy cake, wrap presents, pick up balloons, make a pass the parcel, get food in. Also the house is a bit of mess, the kitchen and the bathroom need a good scrub, I've got a pile of washing to sort, and hoovering and toys to put away. I had some bits done yesterday.

I've been at uni today from 8am and got back at 4.30. Have to leave at the same time tomorrow morning. He is off work at the moment. Ds was at school today and dd at preschool this morning. I've got home and dp has done nothing!!

He said he would. I don't expect him to do everything but he has done nothing. Ffs

YANBU if he has been in all day. I'd give him a kick up the butt!

. What did he have to say for himself?

Not a fucking lot! He said 'when I come home from work I don't say to you, you haven't done much'. I said but it's birthday tomorrow and we have people coming round. I absolutely would have cracked to make it nice for ds!

Obviously he thinks cleaning is women's work?

Tbf, I've always done most of it. But that's because up until now I've been a SAHM and he has always worked full time. But I've just started my degree and am now out of the house more so we need to find a new balance.

He didn't even have to do the cleaning, but he could've sorted the birthday stuff out. DS is both of ours after all!!
