To go back to the GP about this?

Bit of background: I have a nodule (swelling) on my thyroid and I am going to have it biopsied this week. I had blood taken when I originally went to the GP about the swelling but was not informed of the results during a phone appointment to discuss the action to be taken. went back to the GP last week because I was feeling unwell and wondered if it was to do with my thyroid - was told my blood tests were normal and just to wait for the biopsy appointment.
Fast forward to this weekend ad I have been feeling progressively worse - lightheaded, head 'swimming', really hard to concentrate if lots of noise, eyes wobbling and not able to stand watching lots of movement (toddler jumping repeatedly made me feel queasy) - when I tried to discuss this with the GP I was told I just had to wait for the biopsy, but I don't think that that appointment will help in relation to how I am currently feeling as it is with the day surgery team and not anyone to do with my thyroid etc?
So I am asking if you think it is unreasonable to go back to the GP tomorrow about how I currently feel? I have a 4 month old and a 3 yr old and I am struggling with them just now. Each time I have been to the doctor or spoken to anyone it has been a different GP, usually a locum. Don't want to waste their time but also don't want to continue feeling like this!

Could be non-thyroid related and needs investigating. So many things can make you wobbly....

You are not wasting their time. If you don't advocate for yourself with the NHS, no one else will.

Yes I'd recommend going back. If your thyroid function tests are normal then it may be a completely different cause. Have you had any other blood tests done?

No, no other tests done. When I went back the locum checked my temperature and then told me to just wait for the biopsy - very dismissive, stood up to see me out before I had explained how I was feeling. Had the kids with me and was so flustered that I just left and felt that I was being a nuisance!

Do you suffer health anxiety at all? Are you worried about the op and the results of the biopsy?

It could be vertigo, definitely go back.

I have considered that it could be psychological I suppose - I am quite concerned about the results but trying not to think about it or really discuss any more than the practicalities with family etc. I am willing to accept it could be more to do with anxiety, but I think it would make me feel better if the doctor was to tell me that 'officially'?

You poor thing ! I am hypothyroid and your symptoms could certainly be connected. If you can get your blood results written down for you. There are several different levels measured. There are some very good people on here who could help you to understand the results. I also had a biopsy about 5 years ago. I just felt there was a lump in my throat. It's standard to do a biopsy and thankfully mine was clear and the lump disappeared on its own. I think a huge number do. If no one looked stressed or concerned or rushed the tests then I would imagine the biopsy is just routine. Definitely go back and see if there are any other issues affecting your health. "You are the expert in you" so don't be afraid to be vocal about your symptoms and tell them why you are concerned. Good luck and hope everything will be OK.
