AIBU when is half term across England?

i know it varies but i've tried googling and can't find the "window" that it's in......I think it's a 2 wk window?

I have to travel from the north east to cornwall by train with a buggy-resisting 11 month old and could do without the extra passengers that half terms bring!!

24 - 28 Oct for me, but colleague's son has 2 weeks 17 - 28.

So looks like you need to avoid 17 Oct through to 7 Nov judging by responses so far!
