AIBU?

To feel emotionally drained...

....by AIBU and the feminism area and relationships and sometimes now even chat which used to be more chatty and less catty. I've recently discovered Christmas! So am going to spend some time there to recover. And I find the house and home forums a more positive place to be. Where does everyone else hide out when the fighting, goading and disagreements gets too much?

Because AIBU and Chat and hitting Active gives the broadest spectrum of conversations rather than an actual topic and sometimes I like the mindlessness and unexpectedness of the topics, things I'd never even think to think about (everything from schooling issues to food topics to manners etc) it is interesting but some threads just draw out the worst of human nature so quickly. I'm afraid mumsnet might actually be damaging to the soul, anyone else ever worry about that? Like I see a toilet brush in someone's house and now I notice it even though I'm adamant that it's NOT something to judge.

Oh Jesus! I just found mumsnet classics! I'm reading about a plate down the back of a toilet. This is what life is about (happily sighs).

Faith restored.

I find Daily Gratitudes 2016 a serene and uplifting place. Reading the short lists of what others have found joy in prompts me to reflect and sometimes add my own. The simple things in life feature most frequently; a few minutes on the thread always improves my outlook.

Nice Optimist, I'll head there next. Thanks.
