AIBU or is this advert fucking patronising?

Maybe I'm too old to realise it's trying to be edgy.

I have a relative with CP so have always supported Scope but I'm in two minds now.

I HATE I'm a disabled person I think it's dreadful. I love the current "normal" adverts with people in who may have disability you know doing normal stuff.

Not sure on what planet telling someone who has little contact with disabled people not to hide.... Or Not Panic... Seriously?? If we had some sort of similar campaign for refugees or immigrants oh look how to deal with polish people say the general motion would be get over yourself you biget person.

When it comes to members of your own community who always been there it's ok to need jokes and guidance you know to support you poor able bodied person facing the tramau of having to say hello to fellow human arghhhhhh

Have to go around with medals next and give them out to oh do brave people who don't recall in horror and making eye contact with my wheelchair. It's 2016 people!

It's hilarious and I love this campaign to 'end the awkward'

It really strikes a chord for me, and I like the humour and irreverence. The sketch set in the nail salon really is spot on. I've had such very similar experiences...

Articles about the campaign say it's been polarising, which I can understand. But like marmite Grin

(Btw I wrote a detailed post about why the strategy connects with me and the different perspectives it can be viewed from:.. But my phone ate it)
