It's every bloody time I say anything.

I told my sister I'm going to buy a certain gift a toy for nephews birthday. I've found it at a good price and I want to get that particular one because both my dc loved it.

Btw dnephew is not my sisters child but my other siblings child, I was only telling her so she doesn't get the same.

First she tells me I should just give nephew my child's toy (erm no because they're still using it). Next she tells me she thinks she's seen one in another shop cheaper (I've checked and it isn't and I've never seen it cheaper than the half price I'm buying it at).

Then she tells me there's a car boot sale on Friday and I can go and look there as I'll find one cheap.

Is it just me? I want to buy this gift, it's not expensive it's less than £20 and I want to buy it for my nephew. I don't want to trail a car boot in the hope of finding one cheaper.

This happens every time I want to buy something.

Some people place no value on their own time. No way would I trail round a car boot sale at some ungodly hour to save a few quid. Buy it from the shop and have a lie in!

Don't tell her then. Tell her when you've bought it.

Tell her you've bought something different?

Oh I will just buy it. It's just she won't take no for an answer, she will keep on now about this car boot.

I just don't know why she has to be so pushy, it's like this with everything.

It probably doesn't sound that bad just based on that.

Only whatever I do or buy she has a better idea. If I said I was cooking chicken for dinner she'd tell me a shop where they sell nice lamb and how cheap it is. Only it will turn out that the shop is 10 miles away.

Don't tell her things. She sounds v irritating-I'd probably try to see her less!
