To ask if the linden method works?

I suffer extreme and obsessive and specific anxiety that's hugely affecting my life and family, I'm at the point where I'm totally desperate - medication, hypnosis, counselling, numerous books, breathing techniques etc and yet I am worse if anything.

The Linden method claims to cure anxiety and if it's the "don't fight the feelings just allow them to be" line of thinking Iv come across it already and it doesn't quite work for my anxiety though I'm sure it would with generalised anxiety

Has anyone heard of this or done it? It appears to be endorsed by numerous celebrities and have tons of good reviews - seems somewhat suspicious and while it doesn't cost the earth, it's not cheap either.

I don't want to stay trapped like this while life passes me by though

Bolognaise I hope someone gets back to you soon with some feedback on this method. I can't help but I've lived with family suffering from similar issues & have seen how isolating it can be. There must be someone on MN who can help Chocolate Flowers, good luck.

I'd like to know too op- I don't know what but I've always felt a bit sceptical about his claims.

In short no.

Phone about to die so can't reply properly. But there is much better help out there. Most of the positive reviews have been written by the Linden people.

Never heard of it. I have a severe anxiety disorder too. Meds have helped the most of everything I've tried. What do you take at present?

Given up with meds. The side effects aren't worth the minimal benefit they can give me... Tried quite a few in my time most recently sertraline and before that citalopram. It's my thinking and circumstances that needs changing and meds can't control my thoughts or change my circumstances. I honestly feel like my ability to cope with ups and downs of life becomes less each time I have taken meds tbh so I'm wary of going there again to try any more dosages or different kinds

Found this thread when searching under the Linden method. Disappointed to see so few replies - thinking that maybe if I resurrect the thread there might be some posters around who have been on a Linden retreat.... (am pondering a retreat for my dd)
