We'll have sob stories galore from the contestants and adverts every two minutes.

Yes and lose 15 minutes of baking time.

YANBU, it works too well on the BBC for it to change!

Oh crap, I forgot about the sob stories. I hate shows with ads so that'll ruin it for me regardless of anything else that changes.

Mmm to be fair the production company shouldn't change. They'll all just get a lot richer. Mary Berry will be blinged to the hilt.

Yup. And more 'characters' like Candice.

Oh no! I can't stand ITV and never ever watch it. End of Bake Off for me too - I hope the production company realise what they are doing!

Palomb · 12/09/2016 18:51

It'll be unwatchable because of the adverts, like everything else on itv.

Might go to Amazon prime?

Too many adverts, too many dramatic pauses and too many emotional stories. It will be shit.

Gutted Sad

It won't be going anywhere until 2018 as there's a one year cooling off period in the contract apparently.

Given the BBC are a bunch of corrupt fucking fat cat hypocrites who spent years protecting sex offenders I hope they go bankrupt!

Pyjamaface · 12/09/2016 18:56

O god, ITV would ruin it. Stupid celebrity chefs every week as guest judges, fake drama and sob stories and only about 20 minutes of actual baking

Report
emotionsecho · 12/09/2016 18:57

It will go down the pan faster than ice cream thrown in the bin, perhaps we need to start a campaign to keep it on the BBC. Shame on Love Productions, the programme is what it is because of the BBC and now all they can see are £ signs.

This is not good Sad

Can't they just change the presenters. Sue Perkins sounds like she's retching when she says 'baaaake'. Makes me feel sick.

YABU. The license fee is a stealth tax & the BBC should be a subscription service

Report
EverySongbirdSays · 12/09/2016 19:03

YANBU if it goes to ITV they'll destroy it, public vote based on popularity (it's not like we can taste the bakes)

Fingers crossed it goes to Netflix/Prime but there's no saying the current presenting lineup will stay either - did hear it will also have to take a years break because of rights mightn't be on next year.

I'm reeeeallly hoping it's going to Netflix. I can't stand ITV, every reality/competition programme they have is so contrived and fake. They would ruin it, without a doubt.

Love Productions are the same people who made Benefits Street.

Noooo, I hate ITV and refuse to watch it on principle.

I don't think it will last the transition.
