Mumsnetty phrases become an everyday part of your vocabulary...and your 9yo turns around after you've made a stupid comment and asks...

"Mommy, are you on glue?"

Yep. Regularly suggest to DH that we put something to the mumsnet jury.

And today I used the word entitled IRL!

made a conscious choice to stop doing it because I worried it might 'out' me!

(my manager - whom I loathe - talked about "big girl pants")

Also, googling something...then googling it again with the word "mumsnet" after it, to see what everyone on here thinks about it.

I sometimes consider the AIBU in a typical situation e.g. sitting on a bus or train or in a supermarket.

I always ask AIBU IRL and I sent a message saying I had LTB, which received a What? response.

I always think now what would MN do? with lots of situations

I used the phrase "I don't believe in woo" to DH not long ago when he tried to tell me some old ghost story. He said I wasn't speaking English, I told him the MN folk would understand.

i will often say stuff like 'on mums net you'd get flamed for that' or 'there was this woman on mumsnets who had the same problem/suggested' etc, it causes a lot of amusement and the dc/dh to say 'well what does mumsnet reckon then fuzzy ? better ask 'em ! Grin

When every little mundane thing in life turns into an AIBU thread:

AIBU to sit here on the bus?
AIBU to have cheerios rather than cornflakes?
AIBU to take an early lunch?
