Very confused as not familiar with above locations
We are in the running for a part buy property - ascot way.
Panicking slightly as have 2 school age children who will need school places and council can't help until we have moved in.
Anyone local?!

It's not a dump, certainly. There are some ridiculously expensive properties along the sea front.

It's not lively though. Just sleepy little sea side villages. The beach is nice, and Arun council have good provision for parks and recreation/touristy stuff.

What are you looking for?

Schools mainly.
Slightly worried what schools will be like there and job opps for the children as they grow up

There aren't many good schools in West Sussex unless you're looking at private schools. I know a few people in West Sussex and the standard of education is a lot lower than that in East Sussex and I don't particularly rate East Sussex

Not a dump at all and quite separate from Littlehampton. Ascot way is well placed for Georgian Gardens, a lovely primary school and Angmering School Secondary, which I hear very good things about.

That worries me.
Surely some children do well and succeed living there

I don't know anything about the particular schools that you've mentioned, but you're ten mins from Worthing and half an hour from Brighton on the train, so I don't see why job ops would be any more of a concern than anywhere in the country :-)

Rustington is great, my parents live there so visit quite often. Shops are great, very busy and popular high street, the beach is great entertainment for kids and there is a fabulous park near a large pond where you can get a miniature train along to just outside Littlehampton. I've no idea about the schools though. My kids always enjoy visiting :-)

My son went to Chatsmore Catholic High School in nearby Goring by Sea. It is a lovely, small Secondary school.

I used to visit my godmother in Angmering. She was very wealthy and lived on a private estate that had some lovely (expensive) houses. I know nothing about the schools there.

Ah I had my money on sir philip howard in barnham for secondary as my nephews are currently there and love it.
It's only 10 mins on a train - I didn't realise there was another catholic secondary too - thanks!

Did you ever live in Surrey?

I wonder if you should change your thread title if what you're actually asking about is schools around Rustington.

Angmering, Rustington and Littlehampton are different places. They all have nice areas and some less nice areas. Angmering is more village like and slightly more inland. No idea on the schools but a friend lives in Angmering and she seems very happy with hers.

Thanks!
I will start a separate thread
How far is angmering from rustington and then into littlehampton? Are they all quite close together? :)
